rear maggie is easy to get working well. easy to adjust, doesn't snap most frames. gives solid on/off braking. front disc for modulation, consistency and silence.

i'd go with the big betty and the dh tube. i very rarely pinch my betty with welterweight tube. i am quite smooth though, but i guess you can be harsher with a thicker tube.

The GooeyGluey compound is VERY sticky, definitely adequate for trials...
