If you want the extra few inches, you really have to put your mind to it. Focus at 110% and really, really explode, throwing your body as hard as you can.
Happens sometimes, and that's when you progress. Just focus and really give it everything you have.

I like my Avid.
Locks well, performance isn't 100% int snow though. It doesn't feel funny in the cold like hydro discs/mavuuras do, and it doesn't piss fluid everywhere after a crash or snagged hose.
Piss easy to work with aswell.

I say, let it run all spring or all summer. Gives people a lot more time than last year (as in: yeah, i agree with you) and me a decent chance of getting any riding done, 'cos it's snowy outside. And cold.
I'd enter if it was closer to the summer, or actually during the summer. Because I might get some interesting footage together int summer.
