A few companies, among Sony, offer a waterproof aftermatket case for the cameras. They're quite expensive though.

Tensile cranks: £100. Locked out Deore hub: £20. ACS Claws freewheel: £12. Borrow some Loctite for the lockring threads. Sub £150, and certainly good enough.. Only had 2 freewheel skips in 1 1/2 years of using ACS freewheels.

I prefer the separate encoder. that way, you can delete the orignial files the video was from, but keep the uncompressed finished video. If you wanna try other compression methods, or burn the fooker to a DVD or summat.

Main Concept MPG Encoder is faster than TMPGEnc and works loads better than Adobe MPG Encoder. Also accepts loads of files, such as wmv, and so on. It costs money, so you have to do the illegal search for it.

Nutella and cheeeeeese..... Sliced fresh pear and ham goes along bloomin excellent aswell.

Export Audio and Video to separate files (.wav and .avi) Then when you compress, load the two files into the program you're compressing with and export the compressed video, now with non-crackling sound. :P
