To be honest i prob wont end up doing anything to it until i have a new case and a few more fans anyway. Was just curious if these untilities really did anything noticable. I all so wanted to know how easy it was to do. Like i said i know nothing about overclocking. Am reading the forum Sliders77 posted so hopefully that will give me a better idea of what i need to do before i give it a try. Hello I have been thinking about overclocking my machine for a while now, but know absolutely nothing about it. Don't want to take it to its limits just speed it up a bit. My system is as follows. ABIT Fatal1ty AN8 SLI mother board AMD Athlon 64 3200 32/64Bit CPU S939 "Venice" 512Mb Corsair XMS, DDR, PC3200C2PRO, Cas 2 (will be a gig soon) 128Mb Gigabyte PCI-E NX66128DP-Geforce6600, 500MHz 8xPipeline, DirectX9.0c, DVI, SilentPipe 350W FSP Bluestorm 350 aPFC ATX 12v v2.01 PSU SATA 24/20 pin ATX power connectors (need a better power supply) The board came with an overclocking tool (ABIT guru) and it will overclock for me but i doubt it does it that much. It turns my CPU frequency up by 60mhz. I have tried a tool from nvidia that will overclock my machine aswell and am sure it took my CPU frequency from 2100mhz to 3000mhz or close to there. So what are safe values to overclock by? I don't have any fancy cooling either in fact my cooling is minimum i have a decentish heatsink and one 80mm fan in my case. Cheers James

I had the same problem built a new machine with an Abit Fatal1ty AN8 SLI board. It all started up LEDs came on hard drives started and no error message on the board. But the screen wouldn' t come on. First i thought i had the PCI-e card in the wrong slot so tried the other PCI-e slot then tried the SLI swith in both positions still wouldnt work. In the end i found out that the memory was in the wrong slot, soon as that was in the right slot it booted straight up.

Hello, I have a fujifine pix S5500 and it's great. But i am having trouble taking pics in lower light. So am wondering if anyone on here can give a few hints at how to cope with low light settings. I do use the flash but have found it to be a bit crap to be honest on stuff outside. I dont know if its me or flash though. The main bit that confuses me are the aperture settings. I have figured out that F8 is a small apature and F3.2 is a large one (well think is (Y) ). But what sort of aperture settings should i aim for with highish shutter speeds in low light. As you can probably tell am pretty new to cameras, but have been playing with it for a few months now and i just cant get any decent result in low light. Any hints would be great cheers

One of my cards is a min pymnt of £57ish, I pay back £90. The intrest a month alone is £40ish then you have the insurance which is a further £20ish. So that £60 a month so i am only paying back £30 a month. I started off just thinking i will only use it for emergencies or if its an expensive item. Then not use it until the money is paid back, but that all soon goes out of the window (well it did for me). My problem is i can afford the repayments i am making but, i am then left with just enough to get by on for the rest of the month. So i am in a catch 22 drop the repayments and end up paying off the bill for longer or get it paid back asap. And with an intrest rate of 19% (halifax) it needs to be paid back asap. Anyway just dont do it stay well clear of them. I am regreting it now and my debit is nothing comparied to some people.

Stay well away from them. Far too easy to get into some serious debt with. Am talking from experience as well. Trust me dont do it.

Yeah if you brought it from a car dealer then they normally come with a couple of months warrenty at least. If the garage get shirty try trading standards, there might be a minimum length of warrenty they have to provide.

Sorted it used fdisk in the end. Just went through all the options until it cleared the drive and then formated with the XP disk.

Yeah sorry about that. It's an old pc my sis has given me for someone. Wanted to install a fresh copy of xp. As her boyfriend has tried to put win98 on there but lost the cd key for it, so it boots up asking for the cd key. So thought easiest thing i could do is just format it and stick xp on. But when i try and format from the cd it wont let me so i put in a boot disk and tried in dos. All i keep getting is can not format c: network drive... Not got a clue what this means or how to format it any help would be great cheers James

How do i format a network drive?

To be honest i am after something i can fiddle with settings wise. i def want to be able to alter the shutter speed and the white balance if possible.

Hello I am looking for a decent digital camera. I am willing to spend up to £250 and I have had my eye on a Fuji Finepix S5500 for a while now. But before i go and buy it i am wondering if there are any other cameras out there that are worth a look.I have looked round the internet at loads of reviews but if i am honest i dont understand all the technical stuff they go on about. I want the camera for pictures not really bothered about video. All so i will be using it quite a bit for fast moving subjects so i dont want the camera to blur too much i can handle a litle but as little as possible really. I would like it to take pretty good pictures as well, well as good as they can be for my budget anyway.So if anyone has any advise on cameras other than the fuji finepix s5500 would be much appreciated. Did my ankle in about 6 weeks ago, stepped off the back of my bike and rolled over on it. Still swollen and in a fair bit of pain from it. Ruptured my calcaneofibular ligament (ligamnet that conects the fibula to the heel) apparently. Was in a cast for 2 1/2 weeks now its strapped up really tight. Doc recons i have lost about 20% of movement in my ankle as well. Will take 6 months for all swelling and pain to completley go, might be taking a trip to the physio soon to try and get some movment back.

Prefer Firefox to internet explorer, but when ever i use firefox. It always crashes, it will be fine for a while but then all of a sudden it has a fatal error and shuts down. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this I want to use firefox again.

right heres whats in start up menu Dragdiag unpak32 registr32 avgcc avgemc ctfmon unpak32 Not got a clue what any of them are apart from AVG any one know whats supposed to be there and what isnt. Internet is still crap slow and AVG is finding nothing. Why do i have 2 unpak32 in there? Cheers
