Depends on the event but can vary from £300 for the day or down to as little as £5.63 per hour. The hours are random an can be long can be short its a mix of both and is quite nice to be honest. Im freelance a/v engineer and technical assistant in theatre's. The best I've had so far was 17 hours at £36 per hour but that was immense amounts of work and after a 9 hour shift. It may sound like I earn a lot but because it's quiet I dont get much anymore. Off to uni soon so will get myself in some debt . Oh I'm 19 by the way

Ok update on the situation boys an girls ..... The entire vid with pretty much full sections is going to come in at around 30 mins thats including intro e.t.c The highlighted one has been a little more difficult to do and will be done soonish at around 2/3 mins but it wont have as much sections due to the music choice and keeping the viewer entertained. Does anyone know how I could get hold of Mr Akrigg and if he would mind me using the footage of him ? Cheers everyone. But surely there is a lot more of you out there so do us all a favour and voice your opinions. Craig

Proper people work in 16:9 its lovely ... native is hard to come by on cameras but still looks good cropped. Good footage mad lines.

Surge protection just ensures that the 240 running into your computer or whatever appliances you plug into stays at 240 an doesnt rise. Your best replacing the power unit a.s.a.p as its not good running it. You can pick them up quite cheaply from your local computer shop or online.

Yes mine did that around a week ago , jus make sure you run surge protection always an everything is grounded

Ok after much time spent capturing I have come to a conundrum. I have all the sections from start to finish with different riders but all the footage comes to 30 mins without editing / cutting any of it. What would you like to see 30 mins or riding sections or highlighted bits ? or sped up bits in places ? Thanks in advance Craig

Or try not downloading premeir and learning the basics of windows to make yourself a better editor. Sending uncompressed dv clips over msn will take days better to send them in post on a disc. If you keep it simple with windows not many effects and just put a chilled song to it . The more practice you get the better you become. Also try and look at other trials videos for the keep it simple effect . Ali C is a good example.

It's good that you are wanting to get stuff up here but a little more content before you post would be ace. Otherwise congrats on your first clip.

Ok 1.3 megapixels isnt really that much , but best thing to do is to host it on somewhere like youtube or another free video host. Then link from it into your thread if you wish people to see it that badly. In my opinion I wouldnt use anything other than a dedicated camcorder to release a video. You can pick up an ok one for around £100 min and go up to silly prices.

It would depend on ths size of the video? Also how good the camera phone things was. I generally have yet to find a decent picture on those video phones. Despite them having an ok resolution size.
