yea, you can duel boot it with ease (run xp and vista), vista is still build on NT platform, which is nearly 10 years old now, Mac is new developing technology, now with the core 2 duo, you cant really go wrong. I was actually there helping bench mark visa, when it was called longhorn, they had to scrap most of there main building block files as it was just too unstable, from what I read now, much hasn’t changed. Your best off getting an up to date version of xp. I can tell you this; the next computer I’m going to buy is going to say apple on it

Don’t use vista, it sucks! It’s yet another unstable Microsoft operating system, go Mac

I’ve found using wd40 to clean it then, Finish Line XC Wet Lube to be the best. It’s all dependant on how often you service it though.

It's all down to, boumsong being too fat!

Boumsong mate, if you managed to form a suction vacuum to whatever you landed on (which would damn near impossible) how do you propose of removing yourself to whatever you have landed on? Using your inverted noble idea, wouldn’t that just reduce the contact area of the tyre, which in turn would reduce the amount of grip and hold? Also wouldn’t your amazing vacuum tyre be really bad for rolling on and weigh a tone?

I’m running an ultimate lever, it feels so good, maybe a bit too powerful at time though (my problem is I cant stand the power wound out as it is too sharp ) but would highly recommend the ultimate worth the money
-
Of course not, it was merely a suggestion.

The problem may not be within the chain, have you looked at replacing the rest of your drive train? (Chain ring and rear sprocket) As if one of them is wearing into your chain it could weaken it. When you change one component of your drive train you should try to change them all really, as they wear into each other and settle down together. If you replace one, it will be “out of sync” with the rest of the remaining components. If all else fails learn how to preload before you put power through the cranks.

Hey, good choice with the king, the angry bee noise is a good sign (generally the louder the better, when it goes quiet you have to watch out) the change in pitch (noise going up and down) when wheel spins is due to the driven and drive shell not being machined perfectly. If it was absolutely perfect, yes it would stay constant, but unfortunately nothing is perfect. The reason the noise gets louder the faster the wheel is spinning is because the centripetal force is throwing the drive shells apart and separating the grease from them, its very normal for a king to do it. The faster the wheel is spinning the greater the centripetal force, the more the grease gets thrown out, the louder the noise… Hope this helps.

After some searching around for some cranks which could be considered slightly different to the usual I came across these, Blackspire Freeride Cranks, seems there is new competitor to Square Taper and ISIS BB's. Black spire claim an : "ultra stiff design – zero flex – your frame will flex, your BB will flex, but these cranks ain’t gonna flex…PERIOD" Uses Shimano OCTALINK BB interface only – Proven to outlast those itty bitty ISIS bearings! No need for steel pedal inserts – we use real aluminium" Also a niffty little lifetime Warranty against Breakage. Also there weight, 565g compared to Middleburns RS7 pro which weigh 579g(Without the bash ring) and the ever popular ZOO! Cranks which weigh 515g, they are a competitive in the weight department aswell. http://www.blackspire.com/cranks/4-bolt-crank So, what do we think?

I’m running 185mm ball bearing 7 on avid ultimate lever, so much power it’s untrue, good adjustment, all around fantastic brake.
