Do you have to pay for it?
  5. Cloud computing is the latest craze. However, it seems to come around full circle (like most things), in 10 years time it will probably be all about the client-server model again...
  6. I sort of feel that if I go with horizontal dropouts then I might as well go with a 24" frame for more fun? I have no idea?!
  7. After not touching my trials bike for a couple of years now I think it's probably time to throw the towel in and move onto something else. Due to various reasons I have decided that I would like to build a hardtail (not particularly long travel) that is quite 'flickable' and not too heavy. I would like to dabble with a few dirt jumps and see how that goes. For this reason I am struggling to make the commitment to horizontal dropouts as I think I will want gears at some point. The only possible frame I have seen so far is the NS Surge. Any other suggestions? Edit: I forgot to mention I'd like something capable of a good session at s skatepark
  8. I thought enough people on this forum had been killed by dangerous drivers for people to know better.
  9. Before someone mentions it...no they don't have a special 'van' which detects when your watching tv.

    Black Ops

Hmm MW2 is now only £18 at Game. Looks like I'll be buying this instead of black ops... http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Shooter/First-Person/~r344819/Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-2/

  12. I don't often post here any more but that was amazing! Truly inspiring!
  13. That's not always the case although most do run from rectified AC. The airframe will supply a 115V (nominal) AC supply for use by all the on-board electronics. Using Ohms law and other calculations comes a lot easier with time and practice. Try not to get too bogged down with the maths though. On a day-to-day basis you won't be using much more than a few simple formula's. It is more important to understand how and why they are used. Dave (Electronics Engineer - Aerospace)

  16. The birmingham ride was good, hopefully meet up again soon guys. Dave
  17. Brilliant video. I'm glad we still have riders like Ali C..this kind of video reminds me of the good old days of trials. No "TGS", well shot and nicely edited without linkin park or another annoying music. Great riding with lots of variety...quite nostalgic! Dave
  18. Looks like you need UVATS (s=ut+1/2at^2 etc...) and formulas such as F=ma? Dave
  19. Quote from that link: "You have probably figured it out by now, the previous post about the Eject v4 PC stem was just a renderning and nothing but a post in the news for fun." "We will stick to the Alloy stems."
  20. When I say custom I didnt mean application specific, I should probably re-word it. Basically its a microcontroller designed from scratch that will be implemented in an FPGA. I'm not sure if ill be using a customized instruction set yet, the downside is ill have to write my own assembler etc if I do.
  21. It's that time where we all should know what we're doing for final year projects so what is everyone up to? I suppose I should start with mine: A target board that will support the design and test of custom microcontroller/microprocessor architectures and peripherals including the design of a custom microcontroller (Rough working title) Dave

    Labview 8.6

They do a trial version but only lasts 30 days. Still pretty useful. http://www.ni.com/trylabview/
  23. Hmmm I think I might have to come to this!
  24. I wonder how much money they're making?
