i got positive vibes from Johnny of Hope.....
-
I am not sure if Hope will STILL cover this for warranty. I did claimed for the first time, Hong Kong Authorized Dealer was cool.... But did not expect the same failure with the replacement hub....
-
The steel outer ring slips within the hub shell, right? Like with your first one? YES Is the hub shell cracked? NO Who laced the wheel? Reputable Bicycle shop here What was the spoke tension? not sure but I asked the shop to lace the spoke professionally, since the charge is a bit pricey....
-
absolutely, YES.... first Hope hub lasted about 1 year and 7 months... this second one is about 8 months... Iit is funny because, years ago I was 3kg heavier than this year and nothing much have changed on my riding skills....
-
This will be my last use of Hope hubs..... not even a year and it almost make me hug the ground.....

Which is better between these levers.... only levers....
MaderaMark replied to MaderaMark's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
yes! I am currently working in Macau and just few hours ago i saw some of these levers in chinese online second-hand market. Just needs to be patient, mostly chinese language (google translate to help), a pair of levers only were less to find. And I saw one, hope it is still available until I got my money... with exactly the same caliper I am using too... -

I was on shigura setup previously shimano deore m615 then to MT500 those were ok until I have tried that long blade lever classic maggie more leverage really felt good, good bite at lesser finger power. I have small hands being typical small person, I am also looking forward on those classic long lever blades from shimano and still searching.... -

This is what I currently use. Though due to aging, some parts were already started to show oil leaks. Anyone can suggest, performance wise and some reliability.... -
I am currently using the classic MT2/MT4 (BAT) levers and it felt so good due to its long lever blade compared to my shigura. Few days ago I started to see some oil leak near the clamp and started to prepare before the worst happens. I was thinking if I go with this MTSix, some parts of my old levers will be compatible (hopefully) or move on to new versions? Cheers!

I am 167cm, with 90mm stem... Still rides totally crap.... thinking about 80mm but can't find good stem yet....

my echo TR's lever started to act wierd, levers returns so slowly despite having new bleed and seals/o-rings. And the HS33 I saw online in my area were like gold. specially those with neon accents or the last HS33. These were the lowest price I have ever seen, that is why I ask if those were much better than echo....

Guys, Just asking if this is worth for use or the new ones performs better. I was just curious of setting my shimano levers aside to try the benefits of longer blades. I have these MT levers for quite sometimes until I found a very cheap repait kit. So far, these holds better than shimano maybe because of longer lever blades and less stress on my fingers. The only thing I wonder is a bit of spongy feelings, unlike the shimano where it is so firm, but the bite is there. Modulation is very noticeable. If ever these levers break, should I get the same (so cheap) or go with the newer models. Any significant performance difference in stopping performance? Cheers!

Hope is finally felt...........

i did sent the shop our emails with Hope yet.... xiaopowr 2023-12-08 10:49:43 no xiaopowr 2023-12-08 10:52:27 You ask him, why is the after-sales processing speed for agents so slow? xiaopowr 2023-12-08 10:52:59 Since Hope Company has promised you warranty, please ask them to handle this situation as soon as possible. xiaopowr 2023-12-08 10:53:18 Don't keep delaying this matter.

I have posted on another thread until I found this. The only thing I got from the shop was transaction copy. Days counting and upto now, I got the same answer from the Shop. Either they care for it or not, not sure and I really feel I lost my money on this situation.

I guess being in Asia area warranty issues will be like a smoke. I was tracking the shop and all they can say is hanging... Or maybe one end is just bluffing... not sure, not happy, really disappointed. xiaopowr 2023-12-09 18:48:49 They are on vacation and haven't replied to me. xiaopowr 2023-12-12 13:28:47

will sending my hub to machine shop, refill and re-thread would work or not worth at all?
-
i am so eager to learn trials/street trials but I can only look at my bike with tears dropping unto the floor....

Claiming warranty sounds like fishing in the forest for me. Seller say's no reply from Hope, Hope say's it is after-sales department to handle. Days counting and my patience also melting. Not even sure what will happen next. Few days more, and I will lost hope from Hope. Will try SS hubs from Taiwan or China with promising specs but easier budget.
