  1. And it's even better if that rail was your idea and if you built it alone. By the way, I did that. So proud of it
  2. Here's a video from the last round of this year's UCI World Cup from Cologne/Germany. This video shows all sections from the qualification. I'll make another video with semi-final and final. http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=filebrowser/Felix --> then "cologne-qualification.mpg" [53MB;5:29min] The video from the final is now online. You can find it when you follow the link above. It's called "cologne-final.mpg"
  3. I calculated the same thing with Excel some time ago. And my results match the ones on this homepage
  4. Two of my mates have the Viz booster and they both cracked it. It cracked next to the upper holes. (Y)

    Tyre

Definitely Maxxis  I used to ride a Michelin C24 and a C16, both in 2.2" Now I got a 2.5" Minion dual ply, 40a. I totaly agree with Ali C and Bigman. The grip of the michelin is okay, but it just feels shit in my opinion. For example when you compress the tire before a sidehop, a Michelin sems to absorb all energy, while the Maxxis really throughs you and the bike upwards. A maxxis feels like a spring that you compress and then use to get higher. Also with a Michelin I permanently hit the rim, even with 30psi. It's not that you pinch it, but you just hit the rim very easily. Maxxis all the way!

If you use longer bolts and add some washers, the chain will go through any derailleur :(

Thanks for posting and for the comments! The metal boxes were slippery as ice. And Hösel is not really good at hooks, well he is damn good at them, but the others are just better. He still hooks better than 99% of the riders.

    What Viscosity?

The blue Royal Blood by Magura got a viscosity of 5wt and the green Blood is 8wt. 2.5wt shock oil feels better then the original Magura oils, but water is where it's at
  15. I used this combo with V-Brakes and it was fine (Y)

    Silent Brakes

Get a V-brake! Mine is almost completely silent. On a harsh grind that is.

  18. A mate of mine just bought a lever few weeks ago, so they're still produced. The German importer is not the best :)" so he ordered the lever directly from Slovakia. Try contacting www.rbdesign.sk !

    BT RAVen 6.0

Currently I'm running Plaz CRV backings filled with Coust rubber. Rim is always ground. I can't complain about the brake, it NEVER slips, is silent, offers some modulation. Vees are silent in general. The pads are bolted to the calipers and can't vibrate. And thus there is no noise.
