Mine measures at 103.92mm. I did clean up the edge on the lathe the other day, probably taking few mm off. So I guess it would be about 106mm.

18 SWG - Must thank you and Pete Wright for helpful advice

Took best part of 6 days. Thats 1 day to machine parts, 3 days building a jig accuratly, 2 days cutting tubes and brazing together. The tubing was fairly expensive, but its top notch stuff and really nice to work with. For a frames worth it probably cost £50-£60. Powdercoated finished was £10 with forks too. So easily under £70, but it does take time.

If only people told me about such problems which they had?

BB shell is 73mm. I was unsure about dropouts, debating to use horizontal with snail cams or make some 360 ones. 360 made it easier to align everything and is a lot easier when using a v-brake, because the cable cant hit the top of the tyre. I wasnt sure whether Clive had a patent on the dropouts. I couldnt find anything on the patent search, but its not production so doubt it matter too much.

Just finished building my frame and recieved it from the Powdercoaters. Thought some people might like to see it and it might spur on some fellow members to build their own frames too, because its lots of fun Geometry is the same as the Ashton ET. Tubeset is all T45, including the machined headstock. Only brought in parts are the bb shell and v-brake mounts. Features 360 dropouts because they are the most logical was of holding a wheel securly. V-brake mounts brazed as close to the frame as possible, minimising flex. Weighs in at 6lbs. Ideally i would have prefered it to be a bit lighter, but 6 lbs is acceptable. I think I can get away with narrower seat/chainstays in the future. Brazed together. Specially made tensioner hanger thingy. Some pictures of the jig. Took longer to make this, but helped enure everything is straight. Built it around the ET Frame.

What Josh means is that on the t-master hub, there are little pins sticking out the cones. I have no idea what they do, but someone must know.

Why not get the maxxis 2.5? I run one and they are very impressive. With the bigger maxxis tyres height is more of an issue rather then width if your struggling for room in your frame.

Ahhhh. Does look better built up, but is aluminium the right way to go? Will post pics of my (steel) frame when i finish it in the morning

I second that. The ashton geometry is spot on. I have ridden some leeson 24's with "tweaked" geometry and they dont quite feel as good.
-
I made some to fit on my Control. They work ok, but because there is a greater distance between the frame mounting point and the v-brake bolting on, flex is increased. Would proabably be fine with a booster though.
-
Personally, i found that boring and didnt watch it to the end. Stans riding is immense, but i think its very hard to make a natural video entertaining.

Not sure laser cutting is the most suitable method, due to the heat being generated. You may be better looking a water jet cutting. Checkout www.abcstainless.co.uk

I still dont understand the rules

Dodgy looking disc mount - dont be silly Im running my Ultimate Vee, just machined some adaptors up for it. To be honest, it rides like shit. May be due the fact everything is and inch lower and 3 inches longer.

Im not a fan of that UK24 frame, doesnt appeal to me. I have just built up my echo control 1085 with 24" wheels, so i can see how a more "UCI" setup will work. Certainly looks interesting, havent ridden it yet.

If im not too busy (which i probably will be) and the weather is nice (which it probably wont be) and it doesnt look too far to drive too, then yeh, I'll come -
From your explanition I reckon it is because you have the chain as tight as you can get it. I would advise to loosen the tensioner off in order for the roller to turn more freely. It will only need adjusting slightly, its not like its going to come out of the roller or come off any sprockets. Any other problems, drop me an email

Hi all. I need some help compressing my premier video file to an avi file. Now, i have done this previously, worked to great effect, but have totally forgotten how to do it I have been using Compressor from Final Cut to compress into mpeg and mov files, but the quality/file size isnt very good, and not to how i had the .avi file before. Any help would be appreciated Arron

With my control I was running 20 - 16 with no tensioner at all, chainlength was perfect. I am bit confused the way that with the variations in setups you have tried and with both up and down tensioning you havent been able to find good tension. Chat to me on msn about it anyway.

Hey dude. Im a bit confused as to why I havent recieved the email you have sent me, maybe it slipped through on junk mail or something Anyway, I am here and have these available to send out. If you send me an email to my msn account, TODGE@HOTMAIL.COM, I will try and sort it out for you. Apologies, Arron
