Yeh i have heard mixed oppinoins about profile hubs. I use to own a profile hub and i have to say it was totally shit and i don't think it was properly manufactured as it constantly broke pawls and the axel snapped (was the stock version). Quite a few riders rate the 20" profiles but i have heard a few cracking on the hub shell, pawls snapping and bearings going after about a year but most of them seem to take a load of hammer and still work well. In all honesty my king has been the bet hub i have had. It has taken quite a bit of abuse and hardley ever skips (touch wood) plus had no problems with bearings or the axel snapping. The fun bolts i have to say on the heavy dutey axel are poo and cost way too much. If you can stretch to a king go for that all you have to do is bed it in abit and then clean it out with gt 85 and has done wounders and makes it sound better. If not then profile definately. deng hubs are not very good.

i really was a big fan of the old cnc'd echo rims when they were actually strong. now i just do onza hog rims as there quite cheap.

msn *** myspaz is getting a bit annoying as you don't have instant messages as other people have said.

i would stick with your maggie to be honest as they bite a lot better and not as exspensive to sort out if something goes wrong. Unless you need more modulation which i disc would offer you just stick with your maggie.

I'm not too sure which ones as i have seen both just flat spot like hell and die. which ever is cheapest to be honest that is the best thing.

lol another thread like this! i prefer the older ones if you can still get them there brilliant!

if its a t rex just strip it with nitromos. I did it to mine and to get rid of the chromey finish i used a fine sandpaper to make it look more like a dull koxx silver and not like treated metal.

Spain Allows Singlespeed 26` Bikes At Regional Competitions
tomtrials replied to kat's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I can't find the point of having 3 working gears to enter. why do they have to have a certain amount of gears? surely it is a disadvantage to have single speed? -
main reason why they have gone out of the window for trials is because the frames are too wide at the rear to run a maggi or a v-brake on. i have to admit i ran one on the front and i loved it one of the best rims i ever used, but every has gone to echo, trials and onza rims now.

tomtrials replied to trials_hughsy's topic in Beginners Trials Chat

Whats The Warranty On Base Ta26 Frame?
tomtrials replied to addicted's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
You will need the reciept for the frame and ring up the place you bought it from as they will decide weather it is under warranty or not. normally is about 3 months -
What Do You Think + How Much Is It Worth
tomtrials replied to trials_hughsy's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
yeah its a good bike but i would have to see what condition the bike was in to know the price. is it brand new or second hand? normally you would knock 50% off the rrp price if it is second hand. -
there not the same one is 5 mm wider haha but yeh they both look similar just one is wider to be honest you should be bothered about the way they look its how strong the rim is and the smaller rim will increase the sidewall of the tyre you put on so there will be more spring to it. On the wider rim there will be less but will decrease the amount of folding when going onto certain objects. hope that helped

haha is this guy for real, sorry its just some of the posts have been totally confusing or pointless. try 118 or the yellow pages
-
there rather nicely cnc'd, how come you want to change to a v-brake?
-
i would go with the ashton to be honest as the t-pro is a good bike but seem to snap all the time in really bad places. Wait until the ashton comes out then make your decision then.
-
I've also heard they make you gap like tunnie and sidehop like damon... i just like a good set of cranks, if you can afford them then why not?

i know beasty hubs really amazing design as the best way to describe is a clutch system. Why do you need to know how they work i know how a pawl and rachet hub work and they all seem to die on me. chris king, they are really worth the money have amazing bearings and mine hasn't shown any sign of weakness. remember to get steel freehub not silly weak ali.

i don't ride with them get zoo! haha much better

Which Style Of Maguras Do You Prefer?
tomtrials replied to Mod-Bodger's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
2004 lever for the win! love it so much really miss them my maggie is alright at the moment anyway. -
what he is saying is that there is more design and thought gone into the helmets for 90 pound and that you really don't have to replace your helmet everytime you fall off hard only if it splits in two really other wise you would be shelling out so much money just to ride with a helmet. p.s like your sig is funny hehe

good lil video there and classic bike well old skool. tips would be to learn to back hop your balance and timing seem to be fine , keep at it and no dout you'll get better in no time.

well said mate, stupid thread. Is really not like a motobike helmet when your traveling stupid speeds and when you fall off and hit your helmet you need a new one. zen is a very nice helmet and so is the e2, find a nice size as well so measure your head rather than guessing.
