  1. QUOTE (hugh_b @ Nov 18 2007, 11:24 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Thanks dude, have you seen the pics from the other day yet, and how's the ankle? -Hugh Yeah, I saw a few of them. I'll sort them out into a gallery on thinkbikes.com next week. Ankle's, well, in a cast!
  2. Generally speaking, the safest thing to do is not to rock the boat. If you're asked to leave - just do it, and be civil. In fact, the less civil they are to you - the better it makes you look. As far as arresting. Unfortunately, if a police officer wants to - he will, and then think of why later. Disturbing the piece, criminal damage (if they find brick on your bash plate for example), no lights, blah blah. They could even confiscate your bikes. It really isn't worth arguing. As gut-wrenching as it feels, you just have to play nice, and play the game.
  3. Hmm. Now how can we integrate that into the demo rig? Craaaazy.
  4. Hmm. Might be tempted to sell my Coyote. Twin Hope Discs. Deore hubs, Mavic Rims. I'll talk to you MSN
  5. I quite enjoyed watching that, purely because it reminded me of when I first started. A lot of the new rider videos on here are 20". But this was 26" with fairly old school set up Keep it up lads!
  6. I have a friend..... And he told that me, that while he was in America, he went to work with his friend, doing DIY work (putting together furniture, painting etc.) for some cash in hand, contract type arrangement
  7. I'm not sure I ever remember believing. I just seem to remember picking up on my Dad's voice that it was a lie, or that when I was given a preset, it was given from them - not Santa. So either I was amazingly naturally perceptive, or they were just awful liars that didn't try particularly hard to perpetuate the myth?
  8. As long as it's dry, there shouldn't be a chance of it blowing up or anything. But, I wouldn't recommend it all the same! You can find CRT monitors on FreeCycle (Google it) all the time. I gave away 2 the other day!
  9. Let it dry for longer than that. Might help if you take the back off, don't touch ANYTHING (CRT's can be dangerous) and then use a fan heater to blast some warm air in there.
  10. That guy really ticked me off. I was tempted to write him a nasty letter, but thought that might have been a little too aggressive.
  11. I like to have my PHP editor on one screen, and the browser on the right. Especially useful if you're dumping a load of arrays on to the screen and you're using the output to help decide the coding. I also like to watch programs on my right hand screen, when in non-work mode. Just generally, if you have a lot of windows open - Excel/Word/E-mail/Internets etc. it can be useful to spread them around.
  12. They aren't anything special (3D wise) but perfect for what you need. Don't worry about it. Drop me an e-mail reminder and I'll ship it out this week. I've used dual displays for as long as I can remember. I'm using two Samsung 22" Widescreen displays at the moment. Love em!
  13. Adam, I've got a couple of spare AGP cards. I can send one down to you if you like? If you have an ATI Chipset, it is possible to install an ATI card with dual output and then have triple head output. But I'm not sure many people bothered with this, especially as their chipsets weren't the best...
  14. You'd think that, but some of the gay guys I know, consider being "homosexual" to be sleeping with men, while being gay is about the way you act - which most straight guys would call metro. Anyway. I got 53% "You've scored right in the middle and are a happy and well adjusted hetero man!". Spot on I'd hate to be too manly, or too feminine
  15. Yup. He summed it nicely! From experience, Premiere has a deinterlace option when exporting the video. However, I have found it sometimes crashes my computer. So I will export it, and then use VirtualDub to Deinterlace and encode to XVid.
  16. QUOTE (hugh_b @ Nov 11 2007, 07:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>ah cool, gota fid out what day i can get the car off my dad. Will be either tomorrow or tuesday though! -Hugh Awesome. Phone number is on thinkbikes.com
  17. Twas an awesome ride lads. Gave me a good sending off. I'll see you all in the new year, when I'm healed up!
  18. Hey Hugh, If it's Monday or Tuesday and POSS (probably not) Wednesday. Yeah, I'm up for it. Just came back from there today. I'm going in a cast on wed/thursday - so after that, fraid not. Tuesday would be a better day for me, so I can recover from today!
  19. Right. Nobski, Steve-o, Dan Wheller and James Butcher are all confirmed on the guest list. We'll be at Wellington Rocks from 11am. If anyone is going to take the train in, let me know and I'll meet them at the train station - preferably at the same time as I arrive - I don't want to do lots of back and forth riding
  20. That's Dead Cell, By Papa Roach I believe.
  21. Well, if we're sticking to Kent - I'd quite like to head down to Wellington / Toad Rocks.
  22. Nicely written. I didn't wander off once! An amazing evening that I'm sure you'll never forget.
