All the best to his close friends and family, can't imagine what you're going through Life's short, make the most of everything.. Ride in peace mate Love Ian
  4. Sweet as dudes, like everyone else has said there's good riding from all. Liked your kick to manual to side hop sean.. and that slope - shoulder to wall is awesome lol Favourite judders clip's deffinately the front wheel step hops - sweet
  5. Christ! Neil I wouldn't bother showing the tape measure in future.. Seems like too much hassel lol Maybe you should link your lines on google maps or something and people can go take their own measurements lol
  6. Yeah boiiiiiiiiii Epic - as Andy would say. Dude, if you go any higher with your drop gaps your gonna start hitting your face on the frame or stem! Lol
  7. You can ride a 24 in comps now, I rode a few essex comps and a national last year on an Ashton 24". I'd always check when entering though. If comps is your thing though, I would get a 26". 24 just worked against me in comps. especially with my street setup
  8. Cheers Jonny & cheers Stephen! Your comments are very much appreciated. Hopefully see you both at the DJ ride in a few weeks Steve - we need to sort another London ride soon
  9. I'm running a raceface 110mm*10degree and some 3" rise gusset prison bars (Which are more like 2.5" rise really) But think I have compromised on trialsyness quite a bit. They're jump bars really, not v wide, but sweet for street I'm about 6 foot tall or just under so needed the 110 stem, probably depends a bit on how lanky your legs are
  10. Cheers for the comments guys, glad you like it finally got Camera, PC & editing software sorted so it's on now! 2010's all about riding & having fun Edit: Like the old school comments too, love that we're keeping the old skool style in there Andy, get your bike sorted and come out for a ride! Think we're ridin sun & monday, im sure you could spare a couple of hours uber stoked about the bench to bin, had been looking at it for ages on the way to work. Can walk past it with a smile now! & to manual would be sweet... hmmm We've gotta film the most nights... although best use the old camera because it probably wouldn't make it home lol Ian

  14. Yeah ok, I know I'm not Danny Mac lol... and he's just distroyed any line I did while living out in Chamonix gotta love him. Thought i'd re-upload my first Chamonix riding vid from back in winter 05/06. It was elsewhere on youtube but the music had been removed and it's just not the same without. I've done a few more vids since (check signature or my youtube channel: yain1982) TRACK04 also features riding in the Alps. Expect some more up to date vids very soon Hope you like! Cheers, Ian
  15. Hi Andrew, I do see what your saying there. My thoughts with the open trials course is that riders of all levels can come along and have a ride and also have a competition in there too. Much in the same way as the trials course was run at NASS in previous years by the MAD team. To be honest I started with quite grand ideas of a 'The bike show' style courses and/or speed trials as the comp but it all comes down to money unfortunately. I have sent out info to potential sponsors for the event and am now waiting to hear back. If anyone has contacts with a company that may help then please be in touch. When sponsorship is sorted it could be an idea to have a demo/s from invited riders (a la bike show) for set times in the day. Leaving the course available to be riden by visitor riders in between. Of course the course will still be monitored for safety, riders alowed on in groups. It won't just be a free for all. It's good to know you're on board mate. As soon as I get some more details confirmed I will post them up (I've got some potentially very exciting news) Ian
  16. BRL 2010 tickets are now available and they are offering 20% off to facebook group members: Facebook users click here to join the Bike Radar Live group and get the promo code to get 20% off your tickets
  17. Is the works still open? Someone told me it was shutting down almost a year ago so have never been!
  18. Cheers guys, yeah Corby skatepark (Adrenaline Alley) is an amazing skatepark! I think it's about 30,000 sq/foot with a bowl section, miniramps, street section, foam pit, resi ramp, table tops & full half pipe! Not that much for true trials folk I guess but deffinatly worth a visit. All the locals & kids are really friendly and everyone knows that everyone else is trying to learn something, whatever your level.
  19. Thanks for the comments guys. Well not many people took the poll from the first post but logisticly a freestyle open trials course is the winner. Maybe speed trials for the year after if it goes well this year??? Things are moving on nicely and hopefully i'll have some more info to share within a few days (a few things are still unconfirmed)
  20. Short vid of me and Mike from Sunday Still testing new camera & new editing software so no music but have a quick look Cheers, Ian
  21. Glad to see some people are interested! More BRL 2010 stuff has been announced! Go to http://live2010.bikeradar.com/ for details Will have more news on the trials course & comp over the coming week but I still need to see more replies and/or votes on the poll to see if people are keen to come along & ride an open trials course... Show your interest and help me make this happen! Thanks
  22. To nose manual you really need to push down hard on the bars while in your endo position. Obviously more weight needs to over the bars than the normal side of the bars so the steeper the slope, the easier it is to get your weight over.. and also the more likely it is that your gonna go too far and land on your face.. lol so be carefull! Hope that helps a bit there's a little nose manual in my vid TRACK06 (link in my signiture).. about 37 seconds in I find it easiest to use squeekers to get it going.. never learned the g-turn but if you get a fast g-turn you don't seem to have to be so far over the front as you've got speed on your side All the best, Ian
  23. Im sure you could break some sort of drop gap record Mike ha ha. 2010's is down in Kent though (due to donnington running out of money to finish their race track for F1!). Im sure you'd still be up for it Thanks for the support Mike, I need replies to show people are interested. And I need people to click on the "Click here to have your say" link, it's a quick poll so people can choose which competition format they would prefer. It takes seconds Cheers Ian
