  1. As i recall he turned up with two rather unsavoury henchman who were less than polite about the situation
  2. not confused, enraged by earlier posts, not quite sure what your talking about though.
  3. In response to sam kidney, danchandler, CalopS and dann2707, what a bunch of hand wringing apologists you lot are! theres no wonder you get thrown off places by arse wipe security if you leave straight away when asked head down tail between your legs!!. If im riding something thats practically closed on a Sunday and a jobsworth security guard comes down and starts giving it " come on lads, now its not my decision but...." (and you know what comes next), they could use some discretion, decide its quiet and let it slide, but no, its always turn up with the heavys just for the sake of enforcing. Also if your never allowed to ride there why does it matter if theyve labeled you? u cant ride there! What would they do if 20 of you all just carried on riding ignoring them, start manhandling people? i think not!! theyd leave and call the filth, giuving us a good half our of riding. Also i cant remember any security guards being polite and respectful, more like abrupt and abrasive! get a grip, and if you didnt like it when it had happened, y didnt you come over and say something at the time?? for the exact same reason your bitching about it on a forum and getting turfed off everywere you go, bottleless and spineless losers.
  4. Be wary people aren't endemol the total and complete chunts who gave us big brother....year after year after......
  5. depends completely on ur riding style, i have a leeson clear 660 wich i love for streety bmx derived moves etc. then i have an adamant a3 that i rather for more nu-skool trials, like hook ups, sidehops gaps etc.

    Prototype

Trials bikes already look pretty ridiculous to the untrained eye, but that is just a joke! it looks terrible. I cant understand your hype about not having to split the chain using a chain tool either, splite links solved that problem a while back.
  7. Looks like it will do the trick, but it also looks an abortion.
  8. id like to know who your petition is going too?? the british train services have been privatised for some time now, and a letter to say virgin, isnt going to make any difference to my local train service (Ariva). Having said that, i have never experienced and trouble using the trains, except wen the service was really busy etc. and had to wait for the next train. I was more Pissed off about the extortionate prices to be honest
  9. More than can be said for market sports? are u joking. Footballers and the likes are always perfecting their technique, i can think of no sport were u just get to a certain level and thats it, u stop learning. Dnt rain on other sports because you dont like them.
  10. Cut a piece of drain pipe or plastic pipe for the bathroom etc and zip tie it on, works ok.
  11. id say u were rather silly removing the outer protective layer, within a few days, if not hours the metal polish will be gone and the alloy will be left to the open air. It will then oxidise and create its own surface protection leaving you with a dull surface. Didnt u idiots do chemistry At school?

    Rotors

ok the rotor on my mono mini is extremeley bent, is it possible to straighten it short of just puling on it whilst its on the hub?? If not and i need a new 1, what is the point of the hope floating rotor?? shud i buy that, the standard disc or a leeson rotor??
  13. anybody know the hed tube angle of an echo es2?? andb/b height??
  14. how the hell are u rinsing hope hubs so fast, mine is 3 and a half years old now and ok. dnt buy a king they slip with loads of pressure the teeth are to small.
  15. just snapped my es2, gutted, it had a really short wheelbase, sumthing like 1015 or 1020, what can i buy now that will be anything like it?? i was looking at the b26d as it is now 234 quid but i cant find any of the geometrey for it anywere, does anybody know the length of the rear stays, b/b height, frame size and top tub length?? or any other suggestions would be nice. cheers
  16. ilast nit ei measured my wehhel base, from centre of axel to centre of axel, i was amazed to find it was just under 1025, can this be rite everything seems well longer nowadays? its an echo ES2 with fattys, just seemed a touch short thats all.
  17. would it be fair to say that the wheelbase is centre of axel centre of axel. on a car i would straight away say yes, but, the forks are angled forward, so is it possible that the wheelbase could be slightly longer that axel-axel?? if it is, what is the easiest way to measure it?
  18. wasnt it just a 15" f200 or f700?? i cant remember wich
  19. i used to drage wheelie bins, beer barrells and big bins on wheels into bak allys from behind pubs/clubs and shops in my town centre, then if the old bill do make an appearance just do 1 down the allys and the plod have no chance of catchig unless they happen to be on a moto bike. works well at nite when shady officers try to creep up on u with no lights (N)
  20. i recentley changed my rear brake from a maggie to a second hand xtr v btrake on a new xtr lever, i have fitted a carbon booster, and i can firmly say without a doubt it is the best brake i have ridden. maguras suck completeley. discs are mint aswell but frames just arent strong enuf for them. V-brakes rock :wink2: when i discovered it worked aswel as i was hoping i took great delight in destroying my old magura.
  21. trials is a very harsh side of mtbiking and everything takes lots of damage. the price says it all for those forks guy, bottom of the range crud. u buy cheap and it will fail on u. how about saving the money and buying and actual trials "frame"?? not saracen muck
  22. this mite seem a strange topic, but i really am losing all interest in trials. i have been riding on and off for about 4 yrs now, if it is worth doing in my local spot ive done it(not to be to big headed). i am 18 and have a car and a steady job with college and i just cant find the time, energy or inspiration to ride AT ALL. ive got a 1600 quid bike sat in my garage that hasnt been ridden 4 months. i cant bring my self to sell it thow. please somebody re-invent trials for me, it used to be my life. :S(
