Hey Carol - I'm sorry about the delay with the shirts. The first place I went to couldn't do it so I tried getting in contact with 'Lock-N-Load' above but I've been ignored. On top of that I've worked the past 12 days (with the exception of Sundays when everywhere is closed) so progress has been slow. However I do have an idea and expect to make some ground this coming Thursday.

I'm afraid however innocent you feel it is entirely your fault, you were reversing on the same side of the road you just drove on and therefore the old man could have already looked left and saw it was clear (as you drove past) and after looking right, stepped out. He couldn't have known you would stop and reverse back towards him. Worn synchro perhaps. A garage job. If there's a lip on your disc, change them right away. Might want to check your pads too, a new set of discs and pads should sort you out - could be a nice distance between the worn discs and pads which isn't helping you stop any sooner. Vibrating steering wheel most likely means unbalanced wheels (which yours are bound to be, let's face it Chris ) so a new set or having your current ones balanced should sort it. As for heavy and sometimes light - is there ever a squealing noise from under the hood, perhaps when you start it up? If so you could need a belt replacing, which when it slips can cause heavy steering. Check your brake fluid.
