The general public have a very poor understanding of trials, to them if it doesn't look impressive, it isn't. As you've said that was the biggest you've ever done (and good for you, keep it up) so you and your mates will understand the balls/effort you put in to do it. However (no offence mate), seeing as that was the first 6.5 footer you've done, the execution and landing was poor, as would it be for most people's first attempt at anything, so the public thought exactly that. It's hard sometimes I know, but as stated before, ride for yourself, not for the public.

I did a search and couldn't find anything about these being posted before so here goes. I found a company called Black Eight, based somewhere in Asia (I think) who are releasing new rims, as well as cranks, handelbars, hubs, stems and the like in the near future. You can find their products at the link below (only rims on there as f yet): http://www.b8parts.com/products/ So far the only colours they offer are Red, Blue, Silver, Gold and Black. The rims are double walled, metal used isn't specified.

Yeah TRA is still around, he broke his hand rather badly not too long ago so he's still on the road to a full recovery. If you search the Vids section there should be one called 'TRARecovery' (or something along those lines). He rides for Koxx now (incase you didn't know) and uses a Vinco frame (1100 WB, +80mm BB).
