It's an excuse to pull over someone who looks young and/or if your car is modified they will stop you and check if your insurance is valid (mods declared). They know it's not your tax.

Cheers for that mate - unfortunately a TV is out of the question as the TV Licensing people are coming to my Uni room in order to 'enforce' something or other (I'm being accused of watching TV without a license) so it has to be a monitor in order to avoid prosecution and a £1,000 fine. I'm getting a 24" LCD HDCP monitor which supports 1080p/BluRay/HD-DVD etc. but I'll most likely use DVI or HDMI rather than VGA for use with 1080p. Ta for the input though, I'll check that site out.

On the contrary mate - I actually don't have enough! Haha. Looks like I'm borrowing to get the monitor but I'll have to shell out myself for the audio setup, whatever the hell it might be.

How are you coping with Uni mate? You on crutches or staying at home? Maybe we can catch a movie or something at the weekend, I'll pick you up

I need some kind of cable mate - I'm looking into it at the moment. The speakers for my PC are Dell 5.1 specific so I can't use those and the ones for my 360 aren't surround, just desktop stereo with a sub. Looks like Barry can help me out getting the monitor and I can pay him back over the summer so it's the audio I'm concerned about - thinking about connecting it to a seperate system with an optic cable. Argh, it's so complicated.

Appreciated bud, although I just noticed that the 22" monitors only support 1680*1050 native res which isn't enough to display the PS3's 1080p - which is a shame. Now I have to spend almost twice as much just on the monitor alone, I still need to source my audio. Bugger.

After some research that monitor will not support the fully blown 1080p HD resolution so I'm looking into either a Dell 2407WFP A04 or BenQ FP241W. Still need to sort out audio though!

Hey guys - I'm looking to buy a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW 22" widescreen monitor for my PS3 (see below). I'm having a hard time sourcing one of these in the UK - everywhere seems to be out of stock. I was wondering if anybody could recommend me to a store and/or somewhere that would import one for me (maybe from the US or something). Secondly, as this will be used for my PS3 and doesn't have onboard speakers (which would suck anyway) I'm after some kind of 5.1 system and/or a cable by which I can connect the PS3 to the 226BW and sound arrangement. I love my PS3 - the graphics are incredible! The new Gran Turismo looks almost entirely real when you watch a replay, insane looks. Not to mention it has complete backwards compatibility, exclusive games such as MGS4, DMC4, Tekken 6 etc. However, I do think the price tag is outrageously high (this is justified though as you're paying for the technology) so it will sell slowly for now but probably pick up in time for Christmas when the price drops a bit.

I had to try so hard not to pick that post apart.

As said, definitely the turbo. At least when they fix that for free (which you can force them to do if they refuse) your car will run sweet as a nut for ages! Full rebuild - nice.
