The sound really isn't very good. I'm watching it without the speakers on. But there are some nice big moves in there. Looks like you have an amazing place to ride :- Keep working on it :D maybe try a more mellow tune on the next video to go with the riding style and hope it doesn't crackle so.

Nice. Cool video, you got some good flow going on, looked cool. Keep it up

Well MSN is down, I'm bored sitting here, I was just going through some of the many little 30secs or so videos lying about on my computer and I whacked 3 plus an extra clip together just for some fun. Be cool to know what people think, but they're not really serious, more proper vids in the making. http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bike-trials/randomsections.wmv ://http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bi...omsections.wmv Riding/Songs wise. There me on a colection of bikes, to Sick and Sad by Catch22. Theres Joesephine messing at some local ramps and learning spins to a Thrice song (sorry forgot title) Theres Fatmike doing some gaps to Unconditional by The Bravery and a clip of Ben (betterthansteve) doing a gap thats pretty big for him, just under 7ft. Have fun.

Matt probs wont see thread now, untill he has a new comp, so you might aswell save your effort. :( He was checking out his case to see if it would fit and he dropped a tape measure inside while the computer was on. Now it wont start up and when he turns it on it makes lots of "beeping noises".

Apparently I have an A- personality and act like I'm 21, I'm not even 18 yet (10 days to go )

Nice one James (Y) Song really went well with riding. Nice quality too for the file size. And good camera work on a couple of the shots from birmingham :(" :D :(

They might still be alu legged..... As people have said the most cost effective thing is probably to sell your forks and buy some with a disk mount.

Well here goes..... I learnt to ride a bike at about 4/5 I allways used to like going on bike rides with my dad, and just riding round the garden for hours on end. I even remember timing myself to see how fast I couls go round the edge of the garden. After I did cycling proficiency at school in year 6 I started using my bike (an Apollo Plateua I think....) to go round to mates houses, and to goto town etc. On my way to a friends house there was a small collection of jumps, none were veyr big, but they seemed daunting at the time. I would often try to jump them, failing more often than not. This lead to me getting a Baracuda Ghetto with 'Shox Jetts. About a year after getting my cuda I saw some riders up near the local spot doing a small drop gap. It was a 4ft wall to 2.5ft wall with a 3/4 ft gap, seemed crazy at time. After this next day at the jumps me and a friend (better than steve is his forum name, though we all call him fat ben) started to learn to ride trials, we did this in a surprisingly logical manner, we thuoght about what skills we would need, and learnt to trackstand, do small sidehops and bunny hops with brakes on, and then to pedal gap and back hop. After a year or so, without even knowing what trials was we could pedal gap about 4ft, up 7brick or so and do sidehop drops off about 3ft. It was the last week of summer holidays and by chance we saw two other trials riders at our local spot, we rode with them, and by chance saw them for next few days running. It was Matt burrows and Tim Stedman, the same irders we saw that made us wanna ride trials. 3/4 years later after finding trialskings, this place, and more local riders, I am where I am now.

Yeh your looking at it right. A shallow headangle (low rider stylee) means the steerering is less responsive, you get a longer whjeelbase without having a long rech on frame, and its more forgiving, e.g. on touch hops with a 72/71 angle you can hit it too low and it doesn#'t matter you just do go high, with a 74 your more likley to flip over bars. And a steep headangle, is tigher, more repsonsiv,e keeps a short wheelbase with a longer reach, but as saidabout is less forgiving. I went for 72.5 on my 609 and I'm really happy with it.

Yeh should be soonish, gonna be a less serious, more fun feeling vid hopefully, got about 2/3rds down, just need to find some more stuff to film, lol. Spunky_monkey_boy: Come down one weekend, when the weathers looking dryish. Anywheres better to ride in dry than wet...... Give me a shout on msn or something.

Two screens it really usefull for that. Even better is when you have premiere/photshop open and can have all tools on the smaller screen and the timeline + video panels/pictures you edditing full screen on other screen so you can see what your doing.

Isn't that slightly shorter stays than ashton? and slightly lower bb? Be interesting to see how it turns out :D

I'll probs head up. Though its birmingham, I've never had a sucessfull ride there :ermm:"

I snapped two pairs of the Elite ones with Alu steerer. First pair went in 3 weeks after little abuse, sent them back they were warrentied. Second pair went after 6/7 months, snapped clean as they cracked round alu steerer. Luckilly I was ladnng a pedal gap and just saw my forks continue... no harm done. They were nice forks and very light, but I do suggest the Echo Team forks they seem to have a good rep.

Didn't see the :P Still was originally meant with a (Y)" :P attitude not a :P :D attitude.

I've found humid/spitting just seems to make brakes on clean rim a little more bity if anything. But admittedly if its really raining the brake will die.

I guess theres 3 things I really enjoy about going out riding, firstly just going out on a ride had having a good laugh and mess about with some friends. I also love feeling like I'm riding with flow, half the time the moves look small or are small but just that feeling when you dont fight the bike but just roll/curve/float with it. And finallyI really enjoy trying new different moves, things I think (hope) people havent tried, or lines people say "you cant do that". Example theres a double steped bench in Worcester when the step up from the first to second level is slightly sloped, I wondered if it would be possible to wall ride/wall tap the slope, and was told "nah, that wont happen" and I had a few goes, and it would go, it wasn't pretty but I did it. It just felt nice knowing I believed in me enough and it worked out.
-
I have seen black pads on a clean rim work very well. But only iftherim has only just been cleaned with muck off or equivelent and its not raining. At same time I'm now running a chrome rear rim, with magura red pads and thats just sick, much better than any grind I have felt.
-
I've never used wire brush myself, but I know a few people who have tried. I worked as well as a grind for about an hour, then just felt a little bit worse than a clean rim. Grindiong you rim will weaken it, but only slightly, you can put many many grinds on a rim before it becomes noticably weakened by grinding.

You know if its all down hill, its gonna be fun getting back up the hill to go home from a long days riding (Y)" Nah the ride isn't too bad, never done it my self but I know many who have.

I'd say all of that is true, but rails on a mod are different to those on a stock. In my experiance they are harder as you have to be more accurate with your rearwheel placement on a mod, less room for error. They are do-able, as proven by riders such as Craig, but they do require more skill on mod than stock IMO.
