Just to say 3 leading 3 trailing only works on 36 spoke wheels. If you've got a 32 spoke wheel you have to do 2 leading 2 trailing, as I found out when I tried to build 3 lead 3 trail once :)

There is a know weak point around the bottom bracket/chainstay yoke that is the death of almost all PX Zebdis, nomatter what Mk. Many have broken, not all, but a large percentage.

Dude, that video was awesome. In full agreement with Tomm that it would be awesome if the video never stopped. The line at Lloyds where you dod gap to manual to sidehop then over the rail was beautifull. Hope you get back out riding properly soon(Y)

Sand the crap off, or just drag your pad across a bit of brick wall etc till its gone. Then get some saop and water on your rim and elbow grease. Problem solved

Here is a video Matt (Gtburrows) has been making over the last few months. Its of him riding mostly worcester on his Echo Pure. I'm posting this as his 56k conection means its nigh on impossible to upload a large video. For his first video I think its pretty impressive, and theres some huge lines. Though the music is a bit nuts. http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bike-trials/matt_burrows_echo_pure.mpg ://http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bi..._echo_pure.mpg ://http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bi..._echo_pure.mpg ://http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bi..._echo_pure.mpg Also http://tv.isg.si/site/ftpaccess/wombatovic...s_echo_pure.mpg Theres a link, feel free to upload to any other site if you wish. Comments would be appreciated :-

Theres lots of very mixed opinions in this thread, so I'll add some more.... I got a 24" bike because I dont like the feel of stocks, yet I want to ride real street. I was happy with riding a mod, but the long stem made street tricky to say the least. Having tried a coupel of 24" I liked the way the were smaller and more manoverable than a stock, yet could be blasted thruogh street unlike a mod. This is the normal kinda of 24" street type bike. It bunnyhops well and flows, and is still flicky enuogh to ride trials well on, in the same way that a super short monty still rides well. Going by the 1040 wheelbase, this onza should be very similar geo to the current croud of 24" bikes, just with a different look. I personally think, if thgey were going for the compy look they shold have gone all out with atleast a 1060 wheel base, and other "long low silver" bike style geometry, not forgetting the rquired bb rise because of 24" wheels. Again looking at the pictures, and pure speculation, seeing moderate bb rise etc. With riser bars and a short stem that onza should ride the same as any other 24" bike. There are a few Leesons with 1040ish wheelbases and they only feel slightly different to the shorter Ashtons and alike. But with the supplied flat bar and stem I dont know how it would ride. The proof will be in the ride, and no one can really tell what it will be like til its been ridden. I think the idea of 24" comp style bikes is a good one, as I think the size of the wheels has a large effect on the basic charicteristics of a bike, and personally I like the way 24" feels. But I think for this idea to work to its full potential the bike needs to be out and out competition style, rather than a middle ground bike. Yet again the whole post is based around one or two images, and only time will tell how well this style of 24" bike with catch on and ride.

RIP Don. Thought go out to the family and I hope they pull thruogh this difficult time. As Dave mentioned, although no concelation, atleast he died enjoying himself doing a sport he loved.

Planet X bmf/Alex DX32 etc ? Dill some holes and they are still solid. It will be my next rim if my Odyssey ever gives out, which its showing no signs of doing.

The best way to describe 24" is AWESOME. Its as simple as that. On a less serious note, I think they should be covered under the "mod" boundary, as they are not standard mountain bikes with a few modificationd for trials, but are bikes fully designed for trials use, and modified to suit.

Pic attached is of my girlfriend riding my bike. Was bored other week so we spent most of the day trying to ride trials. Considering she haddent ridden a bike properly in years didn't think she did to bad. She was getting the concept of trackstanding and balencing for a bit but lacking the brake control. Was really cool we both had fun, and made an otherwise dull day more enjoyable.

Awesome. Amazing, I only got down to the bristol part of the trip but it was best ride I've been on this year. The whole event looked like great fun, and some cool stuff went down. One problem, I've got no beer or dib dabs (Y) :)

Thats really unlucky. I wish him a speedy recovery, so he can get on two wheels asap :ermm:

Mine comes in at around 22/23 lbs I think. But due to the fact that its short and has a light wheelset ( i.e. no super heavy maxxis tyres etc) it feels lighter than that and just flicks and pops. Most peole used to a normal stock have a go on it and almost loop out first time they pull up. (Y)

Recent picture of my Leeson. Its looking pretty damn ghetto compared to some of these shiney new ones, though on the plus side I love the way it ridces and has lasted me longer than any bike I've had before.

A 2.7 High roller will fit through the frame fine, but is very tight on a Leeson booster. I had to file a little off my Leeson booster when my trye was new for it to fit, only 1mm or so. Tomm, I've got a half worn one you can have for a fiver or somet if you want it, chuck me a PM if you do.

I have. I've tried everywheel size out there. I started on a stock, and really liked my stock and the way it was setup, but after having a few goes on peoples mods I decided I wanted one. I made the switch and it suited me and my riding much better. Then as time went by my riding and style changed again and now a mod wasn't so suited. I had a go on a few 24" and decided I wanted one. I havent looked back yet. Though I'd still rather ride a mod than stock. I say go for it, if it doesn't work out, its only a bit of money lost, not end or world. If you dont you'll have that nagging "what if" thuoghts. Its not hard to find someone to swap with if things dont work. (Y)

Those roundabouts are evil. There's one in a park nearish me, cuases much hilarity and pain when you've come out of pub (Y) In the same park theres something even worse, its like a seat you sit in thats off axis and push it a bit and it spins, then becuase of the weay you pull to hang on you make spin faster, its crazy.

Its just government money, fi they didn't spend it on space travel they would spend it on weapons reasearch or something. Afterall we all wanna beable to kiil each opther as easiliy as possible. And also with space travel they might get hit by a solar flair and go all super-heroish on us, which would be cool.

Link wont work for me (Y)

Riding in the video is awesome. Tim scared the hell out of me when I was filming it whilst doing some of those step gaps and grinds. Personally I quite like the editing and how the music flows with the video, though cant really comment to much as I'm fairly biased. :) Tim has improved even more now, as that video was filmed around christams time. We have been waiting to sort out copywright issues for music etc. If anyone wants any other eiditng projects done, give me a shout. Go check it out

How do the EBC red pads compare to the standard avid ones then Urpedigreechumdog? My avid pads are getting really quite worn, and I was wondering whether I should bother getting pads such as the EBC or just stickingf with standard avid pads asd they seem good.

Nice one mike. You really pushed to go big for this video, and alwso took the falls for this level of pushing too. Some of those drop gaps are crazy. The only thing I'm not sure on is all those white flashes, they look a bit tacky to me, and you kinda went over board with them, but other than that its all good.

Today was awesome. Thats all I have to say.
