  1. to be honest you can probably learn on anything as long as the gear ratio is ok. It obviously helps if the BB is raised further down the line.
  2. Hi all, definite newbie here. Done some road (speed thrills) enduro, trail and dirt jumping for quite some time but never trials. I've jumped in the deep end and am in the process of fully converting my DJ gear to trials. Luckily I have some of the basics down but not sure about the stress it will put on my wrists. I had an op to repair a non-union scaphoid fracture which had to have a bone graft and metal pin which limits my range of movement slightly. Anyone else have any thoughts/advice?

  4. This thread makes me excited to get my own Marino custom soon. Deposit paid, just waiting for finished product ;D
  5. Personally, I've purchased items from AliExpress but never a bike. Never had any issues but it definitely does strike me as a shady eBay that's wishes it were Amazon... That said, I have heard mostly positive things about jumpbikes.cn
  6. Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has either used or knows if I could use the Magura MT5 e-stop brake set on a trials frame. Want something that is powerful and sharp but won't break the bank too much.
  7. Personally I've gone for a custom built frame from Marino in Peru. This way I can adapt the geo to my needs. The geo I went for is a mix between the Inspired Arcade, the Inspired Hex, and the Jitsie varial but based on 26" wheels. Longer reach with medium-high BB, slammed chainstays... And a seat! If I were you and I was to go for a complete then it would definitely be either the Inspired Hex as a first choice and the Jitsie Varial 24" Hybrid as second choice. Remember, you can always roll the bars, get a longer stem, get higher-rise bars etc. FYI: I'm 6,1" and weigh 180lbs.
  8. A little outdated pic. Really snappy for a 26" DJ build. Gonna swap the crankset for something more BMX-related, more urban tyres and higher-rise bars.
  9. Lol should've guessed that you would clock on to the reason why Ross ;p to be honest I'm looking to combine different aspects of a few frames such as the Arcade, Hex and jump bike style. A bit of a 'do it all' frankenbike. I'll still be using the bike for a small commute so simple little alterations like a built-in sprung chain tensioner to let me change the chainring on the fly will help massively. If the hex was available as a frame-only option then that might've been an option...

Hi all! I have 380mm chainstays and am wondering if a 16t rear sprocket and 22t chainring would be a good match? Thanks!
  11. Hi all! I would love to know the seat tube angle and seat tube length of the Inspired Hex. It's really hard to find a complete list of all geo specs for the Inspired range. If anyone has one and could let me know that'd be awesome! Thanks!
