  1. I don't have a favourite rider but I enjoy watching a lot of people because of their different styles and abilities. On the street Holroyd was a massive inspiration to me and the Trials Kings as a whole made me want to ride big lines. Nowadays Neil, Damon and Foster because of the big lines, Akrig & Mac for creativity, Wheelers, Porter and Nicky G for style. List goes on and on. Natural / comp riders... Kenny, César, Comas, TRA and Benito, I did respect Vincent until he told me I was too dangerous he's still a good rider mind, just a tit as well.
  2. Effort! Keep practicing
  3. Power I thought a lot about when I was on the back wheel but the tuck just came naturally, I can't remember me ever thinking oh i need to tuck now, i knew in my mind that getting my arse to the side and down low would help me bring the bike higher. Something I see a lot is people going over the top with their pre-load, maybe thinking the lower I get my bodyweight the more weight going up giving me more speed to shoot up the wall, that never worked for me. I had to always have the top of the wall in sight to be able to get up it, I used the power of my kick to get up.
  4. Pull up on your bars hard, then once you have passed the pulling and your going into the tuck, reach high or push your arms forward if you like, to bring the back end up. But thes your feet too, 'unweighting' as Hans Rays calls it.
  5. Practice your technique and timing on ridiculously small walls, walls that you know you can do every time over and over again. Sidehop it until it gets dark. Then move onto a slightly higher wall and sidehop that, then again, go abit higher and so on. Before you know it you will be hopping up high walls, but that’s only if you really want to. Kick and pull hard, jump and reach high. It worked for me anyway.
  6. The site is nice although i'm not a fan of flash, but it works well and loaded fast enough. Even though I've not seen much of Akriggs riding it has to be the most creative riding i've ever seen from a trials rider, the way he looks at lines and finds ways they can be ridden must have taken years to learn. Looking forward to the next pod. Even using the correct version of Avant Garde it still looks like Chris. AK. Rigg.
  7. Really nice site and easy to use. The illustration work is well smart. Added to Favorites!
  8. I can't describe how I feel after watching that, really, I had my hands over my eyes. That really was a full on clean snap. People say BMX riders are pushing the riding way too far, it's not the riding that they are taking too far, it's the human body.
  9. Awsome vids Danny, good to see a 20" rider with alot of bottle and pushing the big moves. I'd compete with you but I'm too busy at Uni. Email Deng and you'll have a box full of bits within a month. Keep um coming lad and easy onthe weed. CLS.
  10. Really nice video, nice style, looks smooth with good power. You make your rail moves look easy and you are riding the best mod frame the world has ever seen. Keep it up. CLS.

Magura pistons, Echo lever, old Plazmatic pads, harsh grind, bit of tar. Don't use freewheels, as Danny said, King hub.

Cheers for the good replys everyone. I've not rode it a good while now, I keep wanting to get myself out but never seem to find the time with so many uni briefs. I'm hoping to get some riding done in the new year. Ye a fish eye zoomed in to get rid of the black triangles in the corners. Ye, I rode a Ko for a few months. No, the bike is mine, not too unlike Biffs. Had to get rid of the Beta, was a beatiful bike but I needed a car to get to uni and back. Echo pistons, Magura lever body & blade, old Plazmatic pads on a smooth Echo rim, they last forever on a smoothy. Thanks again for the comments.

Oright! Some of you might already know that I don't ride no more as I'm now concentrating on my degree, although in July I got myself out quite alot and had a good time riding local with a few mates. CLS July 2007 Nothing massive, It was just a chilled out ride. Craig.
  15. Had a live brief today, 3 hours to do it in. Had to choose an art/design movement or practitioner, in the style of, produce a self portrait using Photoshop and or Illustrator. This is what I came up with, looking at Shepard Fairy as the practitioner. I used the Mac webcam for the pic.
  16. For street, Echo white line, they are a rare breed now though. New Echo tyres are ok, last a long time, but the side wall is way too thick and even with low psi it still feels solid, very hard to pinch though. Maxxis are grippy, i once rode up a vertical wall with a fresh pair of Maxxis. Shit for pinch flats, any sign of a sharp edge and they start to hiss. Only rode a Try All once, i wasnt a fan. I never gave the new 'drilled' Monty ones a chance, although the old Monty white lines were ok, but then produced the ones with a yellow line using a softer rubber, they just poped off the rim too easy. It's one thing that 20" street riders lack, a good rear tyre. Natty riders are fine.
  17. Vista is pooooooooooo! XP, or better still save up for a Mac.
  18. I love comments like yours; I always got ones similar to this when I released my trials videos. Before my videos I was looked down upon and laughed at. I released my first set of videos in summer 2002, the riding was average, they 'sold', but they were just typical riding videos, nothing new or exciting, in came the comments. Then, as time went on people started to realise that I wasn’t just any old rider, I was something new and exciting. I’m now known by trials riders all around the World and will be for years to come, and most of all I know myself I have helped push the sport forward to a new level. I intend, no, I WILL do the same with my graphics work. As you said, I am discovering new software techniques and trying to implement them in a tasteful way, I have all the time in the world to do so. Could I possibly see some of your work? Cheers boss, Craig.
  19. Massive! I'm sure my Mini will love it too.
  20. I love the fact you say "nowt good, loada shit" it's your mouth that talks a "loada shit", you know that vid was good or you would'nt have posted it. Anyway c u n t arse, mint vid! drop gap in sheff was big. Nice to see someone pushing the sport and keeping the big moves alive. Piece.
