  1. i agree with ad101 with his physics-ness. but from physics point of view and a bit of common sense, the resonance from the vibration of the pads can never really cause crack unless there is a clear manufacturing defect. the resonance need to be pretty damn hardxcore to crack a T6 (the zoo's and echos?) or any other good quality alu frames.... we're talking about metals here, not a packet of crisps. steve (N)
  2. no this is not answering my question... my question is... (if you are unsure) should i go for xlites or should i keep the hopes i got? not 'deore', or 'stick some loctite on it'... :P many helps appreciated. steve :-
  3. so i own a pair of hope skewers at the moment, but they cause creaking and slips a lot, even when i tighten it like a b*tch!!. i can get the xlites at trade price at work which is £16. basically should i go for them? would it solve my problem?? cheers :P steve
  4. change of plan, got work on sunday... w0000t steve
  5. i might come depending on weather. lets make it big :- steve (Y)
  6. look for the older version of the Canon Powershot S1 IS. 3.2 MP but function on it is pretty awesome for pics and vids. that should cost round about £300 if not a little less because of the appearence of the S2 few months ago. also.... Konica Minolta Dimage Z5 should be around £250 if you look around, similar to te canon S2 but dead cheap (but quality also is lower than the S2, but still a 5mp, 12x optical, loads of functions like live histogram and 640x480 vids) try and look for a Panasonic Lumix FZ5 too, probably best image quality on at this sort of price range (Leica lens), but a little let down on vids with 320x240 vids. 12x optical zoom and all though :P. and of course owning a S2 IS myself i'd recommend that, because its a super cam. £360 if you look around carefully, swivel screen (like on those camcorders) AWESOME vid qualitys (in avi format its like dream-and i mean DV quality stuff going on). 12x optical zoom with Image Stabaliser, takes AA batts, takes a good couple of days to drain the batteries, LCD viewfinder......etc etc. there's too much to name. anyways have a good look and you'll see what im talking about. steve
  7. haha cheers for the comments guys, the helmets are there for occasional use.... :( we don't like getting our hair messed up :"> there doesn't seem to be too many downloads... maybe its the server... i found out that they some time don't work when they get a little busy... so just keep trying :P sorry for inconvinient... steve
  8. sorry guys for the inconvinient, it is annoying that many people can't download it....but it seems like that it works every now and then, so just keep trying every now and then i guess. (Y) steve

  10. Probably not the best vid on here, but its the place where trials vids hasn't been filmed recently...so something 'new' again i suppose. if you don't know what Milton Keynes is about then its definately worth a download and see what its like here. all filmed by my digital camera. includes variety of riders, good and bad :"> Stinkee steve (me) - blue giant Stuart - red pace Chris - onza woodstock Stephen Morris - leeson Dean - another woodstock Ben - black base Richard - Zoo Python Gaz - green/black pace hope you guys like it. linkiee EDIT: linkieee #2 --try this as well....i think they both work.
  11. yea wiggle still sell them...but after not being able to get my turbine cranks from work i'll go for a pair of middleburns...arrghhh!!! steve
  12. there's no direct link so you can have this.... Limited Edition ones! The Ard*Gard professional trials bash ring is manufactured from grade one armour plating, it is possibly the strongest and lightest bash ring available. CNC Machined from grade one armour plating, sculpted into the most efficient shape to retain strength and save weight. Possibly the hardest Aluminium bash ring available Smooth radiused impact surface, as a knurled or serrated surface is destroyed upon impact. Impact surface improves with use as it develops a very hard abraded finish. The Ard*Gard can also be flipped over. As used by pro trials riders. Fits compact bolt pattern cranks. Accepts 22 to 26 tooth chainrings, as this is the most common set-up amongst pro trials riders. this tells me everything about it but the thickness, its to be fitted on raceface tubines with 22t set up. any owners like to tell me more about them?
  13. get maxxis, i've used 4 of them and none of them pinched flat. even the single ply on the front. (Y) i tried finding the 62a but i never seem to be able to find them...so i've always used 42a/40a. minions Dh specific!!!!! steve
  14. i've tried both and own a 05' myself. i have to agree that most 04's i've tried just doesn't feel as good as my 05's and my mates. the lever design is much more solid and the lever seems not to wobble up and down as bad. get the 05's steve
  15. sunday is hard but i will see if i got work....i should be going with stephen morris next time anyway steve
  16. thats pretty good ben, you improved quite a bit since i last saw you  yea the music don't really go with riding but its JEW!!!!-everyone likes them  hopefully i'll be down for london soon... steve
  17. hello im planning a weight saving project on my 04 giant trials team. its currently got the box standard truvativ dh bb and hussefelt trials cranks :P . too heavy and im thinking of getting rid of them. raceface evolve FR bb im thinking of - how good are they and would i be better off getting the other versions? (XC/DH) im thinking about middleburns or raceface turbines. which are better?? bearing in mind i can get the turbines half the price of the middleburns at where i work and i don't really want to spend £140ish on the ISIS middleburn. i understand why everyone has a pair of middleburns, but comparing quality/price i'd like to know which 1 would you choose. thanks for your help. steve :P
  18. oi though, count me in.... im going to make a vid too, of just loads of random people....so er anyone riding there and don't want to be in my vid then just simply tell me to f**k off. :"> so yes...i should be there although im not 100% sure. seeyaaa stephen. steve

  20. rim drillers don't forget about the MASSIVE RIMTAPES, without them you'd be fixin punchures every ride. and... DMR single speed convertor..... for weight saving and less hassle with stupid gears (tension seeker too!) steve
