  1. yep thats a video thats been recongised as 'OVERPLAYED' on my windows media player, and instead of having 5 stars rating it has no rating because it can't compare to all the other vids i have on my pc. it has style. i like style thank you Mr. Morris! steve
  2. im the person you're after. i can't be arsed to do all the uploading thingy ma jiggy shizzle. my msn is stupidstevetse@hotmail.com if you add me i will be able to send you it over msn. steve
  3. initially i thought its a 'dodgy' site when i first looked, as no one ever mention about them.... up until i needed new rims and bits and pieces, i knew viz had something to offer. their products seems to be excellent (although i haven't really tried it yet as my wheels are being built at the moment..) but basically so far so good. and also when you get to talk to dan himself he's pretty good and explaining about viz products further so although if you don't find enough information on the site you can always email him or give him a ring. delivery is very good too, all done through royal mail 1st class and mine came within 2 days. prices are reasonable...although i didn't really look at things other than pads and rims! overall top rating by me considering it seems so small! steve
  4. get some mavics if you want a slim rim, EX721 CD is probably the best bet!! steve
  5. get the xen, its a beautiful helmet. recently got mine, a good switch from 661 mullet to a xen camo. its so much more comfortable. and it actually feels like its designed to fit people's head. (unlike potty;s thats just a piece of crap on your head) there's so many colours to choose from too, cool colours, original colours and weird orange camo like mine to match my new orange bits on my bike! (pretty old too...) its light, and offers goods ventilation. look no further. steve :P
  6. had a look around... some people are saying shimano XT's are quite good..i can also get them from work..... has anyone used them? if so are they any good for trials? cheers (Y) steve
  7. try maxxis tyres, best tyres i've used and no flats ever since i had them... comes in all different compounds and patterns too. great stuff. minion, high roller, hansventure thingys (new tyres designed by hans himself) steve
  8. you see.... its just because the avid juicys are quite 'new' to trials...not sure if they're actually any good... so i guess the hayes is a no for trials. i dislike the juicy 5 because its just looking 'cheap' and doesn't feel like its worth the money if you get what i mean... just looks like its going to break... if anything avid its going to be a juicy 7. but are the standard mono poo?... im so confused!! ;)
  9. well guys not sure if this is a frequently asked question, but i had a look on FAQ's section and found no luck. anyways im looking for a front hydraulic disc brake but i just haven't got a clue which 1 to go for. i can get avid juicy's, hayes HFX, hope mono, and M4 all at trade. not really looking at anything else... anyone tell me which 1 to go for?..or something other than the mentioned that is worth looking at. cheers >_< its a stock by the way. steve
  10. yea you're probably right, im running these mavics at the moment but i feel i need a slightly wider rim thats just as strong( maybe not going to happen), also good with grinds so i thought the viz will do the better jobby with the colours and eyelets and all that. tryall don't come eyeletted so why doesn;t anyone mention the onza hogs?...they're the eyeletted version of tryalls so in theory they're a bit of a stronger build. i wish mavic did wider EX721 rim thingy ma jiggys. anyways thanks for the help guys. appreciated. steve :P
  11. i was browsing today and on www.trials-uk.co.uk i saw VIZ rims coming in smaller sizes! perfect, as my giant don't like chunky rims 42mm+. only problem is i current run XTR/SD7 front v brake and the site doesn't tell me whether i can run my rim brake or i have to make a switch to disc. (or its possible to grind sidewalls to work with rim brakes?) now i also need some white rim tapes if i go for them rims, does anyone know where i can get some? or any alternatives i can use that is white? thanks for the help guys. steve (Y)
  12. sorry mate but i didn't particularly enjoy this vid, not because of the riding was crap... you're a good rider....but the whole vid was all too repetitive, you've gaped in the same way in different places for about 30 odd times :D editing was alright though, but just keep it short if you can. :P steve
  13. and i think thats me..... erm, i thought there's plenty of riders live around leeds? (Y) you know you want to come. its sunday that we're doing the main riding there. steve
  14. na because i don't exactly trust that image....as i've seen it in a another blue... (Y) and you know what some sites do by lowering quality of image and colour go all shite. steve
  15. hi guys, im thinking of replacing my current mullet helmet as there's not enough ventilation and my head gets baked when i ride for long periods of time. so i looked at the Giro Xen helmet 2004 in the blue i have seen 2 types of blue, 1 a very dark like a navy. and another is a lighter blue, almost identical to the 2004 Giant Trial Team blue. ( thats what im after) linky to the 2004 BLUE giro xen does anyone know whether the 2004 Xen is the blue im after? cheers steve (Y)
  16. all you need is a X800XTPE :P , its available in AGP, its 2nd fastest AGP gpu...shame they're not going to make anymore of them. luckily i got mine for just £200 the ASUS AX800XT, whereas now you need to pay up to £300 for the exact same card.... steve
  17. wow weee g33k pc talk, love it. i might as well share my pc that i built up 3 months ago with a budget £600. AMD64 3700+ MSI Neo FSR Platinum mobo Maxtor Diamondmax 9 120GB 7200rpm Corsair XMS CL2 2x512GB Asus X800XTPE 256mb gpu Hyper Type R 580w psu very fancy 5 yrs old case :P its fast enough for me and as for budget getting 3dmark05 6200 points its not so bad at all :turned: need more ram for vid editing though, but im working on it. steve :P
  18. finally, my favorite vid so far. :turned: that was real amazing, riding was good, loved those spins from matt, and when you rode on the slides :P looks well fun. and its just a bit of everything in a short little vid, which is awesome. great editing too, the outro was ace. keep 'em coming!! steve :P
  19. well i see a lot of people are working in halfords considering the amount of people here says halfords is crap. i work in EVANS CYCLES MK which is a proper bike shop. (Y) steve :)
  20. not a bad vid adam...although a little concerned on the video size and compression on it...rather big on disk considering a low resolution.. oh well. some nice moves... well done steve
  21. backings coming off, oh no. why don't you just loctite it back on instead of wasting time taking photos of it and making a thread thats been seen too often on here?... :P steve
  22. i use them and they feel like the best bar around (geo-wise) and every other mates bikes which had it all felt amazingly nice and streety. haven't snapped any or seen any snapped so maybe it means im either a very good or very bad rider :P steve
