  1. the proto ashton in action! looks better with a rider on it lol. nice to see bruno in some shots aswell. steve
  2. the front is rubbish, don't get it unless you're really after a sh*tty singlewall heavy wide rim. - just all front singlewalls are crap in general. i've had tryall's and viz rear rims before, im still using a tryall, but i have to admit the viz rear rims do built a pretty strong wheel, at least stronger than tryalls i have/had anyway grinds are cool as well, but because they come with the brake wear/grit run off strip it makes the brake pads look weird when they're slightly worn, just a little bit of rubber sticking out in the middle of the pads lol. steve
  3. divide by 15.. you get the sterling steve
  4. excellent, im from hong kong as well but i currently live in the UK, there are some excellent places to ride there, shame about not being able to bring my bike back last summer, would have been nice. how long have you been riding? nice xtp, looks rather pimp and new!?! did you get it from biketrialstation in sham shui po? steve
  5. probably due to lack of demand really, there still isn't a lot of bikes out there that needs massive rear brake/chainstay clearance. and its probably too flexy (or too much stress on traditional small ISIS bearings from extra leverage) to have such long axle on a 68/73mm bb shell... maybe sometime soon deng will make a longer spindle for his external bb. the extra length will need them extra big bearings! steve
  6. nice vid scott, but your tv.isg link doesn't seem to have the video on it? looks like you had a good trip and some decent weather! steve
  7. jesus christ the quality is excellent. i think its HD, can run it full screen no problem. anyhowss the riding is smooth as hell, expected from lesko really, some nice big lines.. sweet video, really worth the download (it is 188mb but it only took me a couple of mins to download it) steve
  8. nice vid, some good riding in there, a bit TOO chilled - not too keen about the music..its making me wanting to sleep! well it is almost 1 so it doesn't help lol. your bike looks stunning too, i like! well done steve
  9. i think, its because when you gap you tend to pull the bars towards your body, whilst making the bike vertical, and this sort of 'pushes' the rear wheel down? ahh i seem to have confused myself..but thats how i picture gaps.. steve
  10. i do like the look of that...what is 'trial tech' anyway?? haha what is the geo?? steve
  11. woah nice video andy!! lol @ mitch. you've finally showed us the mahusive gap near the poole station, it is total madness... i like how you used your headlights to light up the skatepark lol.. good job, seeya round steve
  12. nice video sam, that sidehop to the sloped rail is a bit cool..hah is that an adamant appearing in the video? what happened to the zoo? steve
  13. also, standard proII is lighter than the proII trials, its less heavy duty and uses quick release, whereas the proII trials uses M10? massive heavy duty bolts. steve
  14. yes you can get single ply but i believe it only comes in 26", dmr diggers and holyrollers are pretty good and light, if you want a cheaper tire i think halo do some cheapppp tires for like a tenner. steve
  15. those bikes looks rather interesting.. steve
  16. tis true...i think the way to define old skool is: bikes with PROPER seats and short wb, no bb+ and longish chainstays. riding styles that doesn't involve sidehops, taps, hooking and front wheel moves.. correct me if im wrong.. steve
  17. welcome to the forum, i don't live in fareham but i can get to soton and pompey quite easily from bournemouth, so i might see you around when i decide i'll ride more and go to other places. steve
  18. wicked vid, nice riding as well, all you need to learn now is hooks and taps? haha beast steve
  19. if depends if you want large platforms or if you're used to the small(ish) of the DMR's, i feel they're too small and i loose the pins quite easily and the pedal body (even the alloy one has cracked) if you're after a bigger platform i would definately recommend gusset slim jims' and get the magnesium for the extra tenner, it somewhat superlight, no pin loss, fully sealed and feel real nice on the feet. the pins aren't grub screws but they have a larger 'bolt' fixed on the underside of the pedal, so the pins are stronger and easy to tighten, and it comes with a sticker sheet with nuff spare pins! (don't think i'll ever get to use them though!) £45 from tartybikes steve
  20. sorry deano i'll make sure you're in the next 1, when i have more proper footage!! ahaha most of the video is mainly chris hinson, it was an onza woodstock he snapped. steve
  21. noice bikes ash, i think the leeson would look loads better with black rims, but thats me.. control is looking rather sick... why are your photos blurry anyway?? steve
  22. some nice gaps mate, wasn't a bad video but i think some of the spots of slightly over-ridden steve
  23. song name and band is right at the end of the video if you got that far lol.. thanks for the comments so far guys, keep them coming!! steve
  24. sweet video, i really like the music, went well with the riding. cool rims, but i think it'd look better in another colour haha, oo yer i also like the spinning in the carpark sequence, it was cool. steve
  25. loooove the style, and the bike, it looks lush. and nothing wrong with hooking a ramp, its sort of what im doing now to learn how to hook..there's many ways to approach an obstacle you know..even at his level. steve
