  1. i have this video somewhere on a disc... that was 1 of the videos that got me into riding trials!! love it steve
  2. nice, at least the frame is not silver like the 98.6% of the trials riders in the uk have. that pash is sexy. steve
  3. doooooooooo it!!! haha thanks andy, i can't fit 2 bikes in 1 car and all my stuff unfortunately..boo...there's still some work that needed to be done to it as well before i start riding it! wronng, im very poor i did build the giant from spares, i spent about £5's on bits and bobs. haha yer its a very light grind but it works...for now..small dab or tar with it does the magic. thanks for the comments so far! steve
  4. erm i use the rage bar if you want to know something about it?? its the same as the punching bar except its a riser...its stifffffffff, and doesn't creak... ain't heard any thats snapped yet hope i've helped. steve
  5. haha well done! i want to try it out! its a shame its not perfect but for first attempt you have done pretty good job try a frame with disc mounts next time steve
  6. yer buy the xc, they're pretty reliable, and easy to service! ok they may seem to lack engagements compared to proII and kings, but in my opinion they're good enough with 24. steve
  7. soooouuuuuper! lovely pics. nice to see manning back on the stock and ripping up the skatepark properly..(bout time) i need to ride poole again when i return to uni, riding at home is boooring. steve
  8. haha you mean from the king? seems like you've done the complete opposite of what happened to me.. anyways so there's no such thing as a 'baggy headtube' like that monkey said at evoimps, just another flared headtube. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr steve EDIT: would aluminium tape do? loctite..hmmmmm not so keen
  9. there, with an 8" im pretty confident it'll snap off, but it looks great and i haven't actually ridden it for trials, so its ok for now, i might actually pimp it a little when i have spare money and get some v's/bashring and a shorter stem for it, i'll probably ride it then! steve
  10. for those who doesn't know, evolution imports is uk distributer of chris king stuff and they're always up their arses and think they're always right and there's NOTHING wrong with chris king stuff. (me and people at work past experience) basically i got a chris king headset last summer and its been in my aorta for about 8 months now, it was faced and fitted properly with the park headset press. so no problem there.. then few days ago i felt some play in the headset and the problem grew very rapidly and it got to a point where i can twist and turn the top cup with my hands when its in the frame only in a matter of days! initial thoughts - flared headtube, so i inspected the headset/headtube and it managed to slide out the headtube without having to smack it out, i then fitted a pig headset and it was fine, no problem there, so there must be something wrong with the top cup. rang up evoimps and they said there are such a thing known as 'baggy headtube' which their 'perfectly made headsets' may just slide out of but it isn't quite a flared headtube, whereas a cheapo pig will fit in..then i was so confused and tried fitting the top cup to a scott scale 50 frame, and that was fine... so is there such a thing known as baggy headtubes?? what are your thoughts to this?? steve
  11. that looky very nice! you've got some pimp stuff on there..anodized bolts? lush... i have the same rear tyre steve
  12. ok i've got my aorta pretty much the way i want it to be... except a few minor problems its running great! and managed to build my giant back up from scraps and stuff i can find at work - its missing a bash ring but im not really riding it, its purely there because i loved it so much i just like to see it built. quickspec: Giant - azonic dw/thomson 110/hayes 8"/mavic crossride/ex721+proII/firex without bashring/fsa platinum pro/el cheapo spesh tyres i found at work/tioga mc lite/tiagra mech Aorta - tryall rage/thomson 110/hope mini+floater/maggy+crm+74kings booster/dtswiss 240+xc717/tryall+proII/middleburns/echo external/schwalbe nobby nic+big betty/the pig king headset/gusset slim jim mag that is all. comments please! steve

  15. that bike is lush.. the rims are interesting, solves the problem of the current weak drilled rims?? do not build the front wheel ever like that. steve EDIT: and the rear wheel as well
  16. that looked real fun, can't believe i missed it. ah well steve
  17. probably the best video i've seen...by far. excellent effort, he's such a good rider, i remember his last video he was already so smooth on a vinco. now its just bigger and still got that smooth style loveeeee it steve
  18. nice clips adam, ain't ridden with you for ages man, your style seem to have changed a little? kind of streetier im back in mk for another 2 weeks mate, let us know when you're out and about here. steve
  19. looking lush andy, i well want to give it a go, never ridden a brisa before.. i won't be able to though for at least 3 weeks...you best still have it when i come back to uni steve
  20. nice selection of clips will! haven't ridden bedford before and don't think i ever will, the walls are massive lol.. when you coming to boring MK to ride again? steve
  21. yes that would have been me, chris, some dude on a zona zip (very pimped up bike), dean, lee, grant and 2 other people on street bikes. steve
  22. no they are NOT good at all, truvativ is known for their poor quality bearings. i currently use an echo external and i've had it for a long time, they're pretty decent for £65ish, bearings are still great and has good strength, 128mm/68mm shell only though. if i have to replace the echo (fingers crossed i don't need to in the near future) i'd definately go for SKF BFR-600, they're amazing bb's. steeper price (£80-90) but they're definately worth it. steve
