  2. fancy a change, fancy a koxx, the karbon has similar geo to my aorta at the moment and not mega long and high like the koxxboxx... i will keep my aorta though, probably build up with my millions of spares! steve
  3. have fun building the wheel and truing it. steve
  4. its the only day not raining this week, i will let you know sooner the time. i have exam next week so depends how much revision can get done!! its going to be hard cos i want to go to dj ride as well... also need to see how my shoulder treats me. steve
  5. same really, i improve as i ride with various other people, at different levels, better/not as good as me, they both help me push myself and try out different things. i like comparing myself to riders at similar levels too.... steve
  6. complete bikes are always too expensive, better off building one yourself its not OVERLY priced, look at the phase for example. but its a nice starter bike though, will definately get more people into trials especially its raleigh thats distributing them! steve
  7. £675... lets see how much i can save up from my summer job.................. steve
  8. yes adam, im assuming the karbon would be along the same price tag as the other pro-models? and im guessing its going to be available in the UK with the hydroxx and koxxboxx? - 1-2 months time? cos i can't find it anywhere yet in UK sites.. steve
  9. you sure you're on the right forum? warm welcome anyway steve
  10. QUOTE(Bill_B @ May 10 2007, 04:21 PM) ←Those crank bros 5050s do look nice, I'll have a closer look at them. I put V8s on the girlfriends bike and I'm not keen on them are the V12s the same physical size? I'll look out for the revells they 50/50 has good bearing quality and you can customise them! whack different coloured plates on and stuff. but disadvantage i found with them is way too little grip, you should consider getting longer pins for them. V8 and V12 share the same alloy body, V12's has sealed bearings. steve
  11. can we get the koxx karbon in the UK? steve
  12. the crankbrothers 50/50 are fairly wide. steve
  13. well a while back there was a topic on giant's 07 prototypes. which were much more updated to their old skool seated framesets. prototype mod and stock frames: and stock built up and ridden by LXD. there were no geo provided. just browsing and found on the giant japanese website they have the production version. looks bit different to what we used to seeing, especially the seat tube/seatstays on the stock. geo: wb-1065, ha-72.2, +20mm bb, cs-385 geo: wb-1000.5, ha-72, +50mm bb, cs-362 shame it only seems to be available in japan.... let us know what you think! steve

  17. andy, agreed!! and not everyone who rode the hampshire comp wanted to ride the ymsa. majority of the forum might have, but hampshire is a small part of the country. you're just assuming everyone wanted to support/ride ymsa. anddd personally i think hampshire comps is an excellent venue for comp newbies especially the younger local trials riders it gets them into the sport.
  18. i enjoyed that 1! good riding and great music. like the intro and your combat trousers by the way... steve
  19. if you run really low pressures tryalls dent like crazy. im considering getting a new rim too that isn't a tryall, but just don't know what one in a 36H steve
  20. get one if you can see your seatstays flexing out when you pull the brakes, otherwise save your money and your bike will be lighter too.. steve
