  1. hi i think i might finally get a car and been looking at the colt mainly 1.3/1.6 GLX model. so except the FSH/logbook etc what else should i be paying particular attention to the car physically? looking for some owners opinions on this, anything would help! steve
  2. ha. get a grind and hard pads so you can ride in the wet as well see you in an hour at work mofo. xx steve
  3. interesting problem you got there... you'd think all the machining deng do (probably 90% if their components) they would have got it pretty much spot on.. luckily my tryall crank and eno set up's fine. get something non-deng it might help haha steve
  4. noice, i haven't seen this since he had it... i'd say new saddle...cos i like smaller seats on 24" like a tioga mc-lite...yer!! steve
  5. trade prices vary from distributors, from my experience its normally 50%-65% of the price of product. steve
  6. new frame, i went modstock... and basically what basher said about weight and balance. why don't hope make a mod hub ?? hmmm interesting there, though my freewheel is brand new, crank brand new, bb brand new.. steve
  7. if you're talking about just freewheel then the smallest possible, i believe its 18T but you got to bear in mind what gear ratio you want to run, the bigger the back freewheel normally the bigger ring you need on the front as well.... think all trials-specific freewheel are 18T, but the best recommendations are tensile as a low budget and eno if you can pay up to £70 steve
  8. that is oooold. but good repost really, i loved this video.. shame trialskings is sort of dead now.. steve
  9. did this happen to any of you when you tried switching from a freehub to a freewheel? i found yes, i had my solid pro2 (06) and it never really skipped, i can kick as hard as can and not worry too much, now i've made the switch to an eno and starting to regret it, it skips a lot more often, it is still fairly new and dave (mrkoxx) said they take a while to bed in... not sure if i've gone past that stage but i have to have a go at everything more lightly which is a bit restricting especially on gaps... let me know what you think on this.. steve
  10. tryall crank, symmetrik bash (looks super pimp) and eno steve
  11. LOL @ SIMPSON. absolutely rinsed. steve
  12. nice! did you mod that yourself? surely you did otherwise it'd be classed as a R-series car in which it can't enter.... steve
  13. massive bunny hop at the start... and what shorts is he wearing? they're huge! steve
  14. huge. drop your front more dave!! its worrying when you don't new tryall rim for you then steve
  15. right here's my problem, i didn't get round to playing my xbox much over the months due to uni assignments but im trying to get myself back into it. im stuck on class A race series, i just managed to finish the pro-series race but it was a struggle with my modded F430...now im on the endurance race at silverstone GP circuit with the same opponents and struggling sooo much to catch up from starting 3rd on the grid. F430 i found wasn't grippy enough and lacking power on the straights vs. the corvette and ford GT RS4 i found loads of grip, was an improvement from the F430 due to it being 4wd, but still lacking power on the straights so it was real hard to keep the corvette and GT behind me and 1 little mistake means they just ram me off the road are there any recommendations on getting a well balanced A series car for this race?? what did YOU use to race with? heeelp!! steve
  16. looks like i missed out. oh well great pics, and didn't know bessell was there! steve
  17. try the canon powershot S-series, from S2 onwards are real decent, apparently they're 'pro-sumer' cameras so you have a lot of functions and adjust ability for shots. quality is alright and the latest version even come with a hot shoe mount for extra flash. as well as other accessories such as tele-lens and wide angles. as for video quality-mint, definately tv quality with surround sound recording on the highest setting (640x480). adjustable digital viewfinder as well for awkward positions. its real handy i'd recommend that especially i've heard them going for well cheap. steve
  18. very nice, loving the colour, so orange is the new green?... steve
  19. yer get an skf. only problem with them is that you can't run front free wheel with them cos their axle are just huge, so read freehub you should be fine. stiff, long lasting, probably best bb for the money. (if you can afford the BFR600) thats probably the best isis out there hope i've helped steve
  20. from what i know is that some scientist believe that another raise of 2 degree c of global temperature, will trigger the runaway/positive feedback. runaway effect-climate running away from us positive feedback-anything we do or the environment will do will finally kick in and enhance the warming effect into a 'progressive warming' stage - when we can do absolutely nothing to stop it continuously heating up. but it is all theory, no one knows when we will hit the 2 degree mark and reach the tipping point (or the point of no return) steve
  21. tough. its quite simple really. we can't do anything about it from what everyone in the world is contributing. just live with it. steve
  22. losers (mainly aiming at grant and gaz), don't worry adam i won't let you ride on your own... i'll be out as much as i can when im back next week steve
  23. pretty much for the simple minds out there. there's so many explanations out there, and this topic and post will actually be about 30 odd pages if we were to try explaining, there are seriously far too many factors out there thats a positive feedback to the warming system: -albedo runaway effect (melting ice caps reducing ice caps ability to reflect sun rays) -deforestation, decomposition causing the increase in methane contributing to GHG, lacking of o2/co2 cycle, increase in bacterial activity in soil increasing co2 and methane emission. -methane clacthenes which are trapped ice in deep oceans containing large amounts of methane, once these melt-we're f**ked. -cycle of water vapour: for those who don't know water vapour is the largest contribution of GHG, as it gets hotter there's more evaporation hence more water vapour and speeds up the heating...and don't forget the clouds which also trap GHG. -active positive feedback loops, such as decrease absorption of co2 in ocean due to increase acidity of surface water... and at this moment in time we're near the tipping point, once we pass the threshold there will be no turning back for us, pretty much doomed. and spacemunkee for the love of god don't read and believe a word from wikipedia....... and to be quite honest with you most things you read especially through media, is complete balls. if you want decent reports and published paper try the IPCC website. anyway to conclude, if its going to happen then in my opinion and how the world is heading at the moment, its going to happen, the international legal instrument is shit and we all know it, kyoto protocol for example took 8 years to enforce, and with targets for countries out there that can't achieve (UK especially at this rate) sooner or later we'll reach the tipping point. its not just a matter of oh no we can't ride anymore because the weather is shite, it is some serious stuff, and before we know it it'll affect each and everyone of us. steve
  24. somedays packed with loads of riders from around the area, other days its a trials-ghost town... can't really comment as i don't really live there anymore steve
