I run them, and seen quite a few others with then too so think they are rated. Personally width is great, nice and wide and it seems very stiff, graphics is subtle (I went for silver and white) and rise and sweep is just perfect, though these can be quite subjective. Steve

That's nice, blacks are nice I've seen one before and its pretty stealth looking! Love it. How are you finding that stem set up? I went from Stackers and tryall forged stem and it was a tad low and flexy, switched to a tryall nuc mod stem and feels so much nicer! Enjoy it I love mine! Steve

Probably not much help, but I always clear out the path of the air flows by occasionally blowing hair dryer and Hoover it, and also always use a USB powered cooler master stand with external fan to keep things cool... They're not expensive either! Steve

I don't think I can add to this, most people have mentioned the most obvious: headtube - maybe as much material as you can as the pressure points are top and bottom cups are BB yoke area - as much as you can end of the top tube? anyway, I totally agree with weight saving - it does make a difference, and depending on rider I think different weighted bikes can easily influence your riding style. I've seen many examples of heavy set ups are ridden by bashers, and light bikes are ridden by the smoothest mofo's out there. It obviously doesn't apply to all riders but I do see a trend. Steve

I've snapped 510/610 chains before but not with a Kool so I was hoping to be able to stick with this/something with similar strength. will the single half link stretch a noticable amount? Steve

so new frame recently has caused this issue, horizontal drop outs and using Echo TR cromoly snail cams. Stock frame, 380 drop outs with +/-10mm adjustment from snail cams. running 18/15 ratio using a kool chain and got it as 'short' as I can (fully stretched now as it's been ridden on for about a month), with some slack of course, and to be able to get the chain remotely tensioned I need to use the full adjustment of the snail cam and when the wheel is fully pushed back there's still a fair amount of slack (enough for some chain slapping action) - it's annoying but just about bearable and it's less responsive. so I thought maybe a single half link may solve the problem by replacing 1+1/2 full link with 1 single half link, it's shortened it by about 10mm or so which on paper seems perfect, but once it's on and tensioned all the way out the chain was just slightly too short and tyre is scrubbing against the frame and my rear brake ran out of adjustment to be fully in contact with the rim. just wondered if anyone else had similar problems? I can't get bigger snail cams because the drop out is pretty much out of adjustment too with the wheel pushed all the way back and the axle won't fully sit inside. any suggestions on what I can try or will I have to live with a slappy chain? I don't really want to use a full half link chain, bad experiences in the past. Steve

as someone has mentioned here the 2011 brake is more powerful right? maybe a slightly flexier frame could contribute to the feel of the lever? I've tried it on someone else's bike and they do feel spongy, but not to the point where I can't trust it, just doesn't feel as good as an 05. Steve

it sounds like you've answered your own question there, I think the Speedrace Fans matches your description fairly well. medium length, 40/45+BB, good weight (but does reflect on the strength) Pro's: well balanced geo looks good decent weight to strength ratio (I had mine for almost a year then sold it to my mate Chris and it lasted him another year or so - and he goes through frames every few months). good value for money something different from the norm (deng) Con's: flexy, will need a booster, brake set up never felt 'amazing'. hope this helps. PC tech support has been closed, can we use this for odd support questions? If we are: something from the opposite end of the scale, got a HP Mini 110 netbook, recently windows is busted and the built in Roxio restore wouldn't restore XP (it just freezes on this screen and no CPU/HDD light active) as it's a netbook there's no CD drive so I can't boot it with my XP disc, any idea what else I can do? I've been asking around for an external DVD rom but so far no luck. any help would be great Steve
