so widescreen makes a difference, with eu mapping looks like the Garmin Nuvi 255WT from amazon is the best deal @ £130! though the 250 on amazon is ridiculously cheap at £80... hmmmm worth that £50 squid? steve

gutted manning. im free tomorrow give me a shout i might be up for something! steve -
has anyone got the live traffic new feature? or is that similar to the TA on the radio? also if for example i go for a stand UK&Ireland mapping then is it possible to add european mapping in the future? maybe at extra cost i pressume? other than that at the moment the Garmin Nuvi 250 from Tesco seems to be a good deal @£99 where everywhere else is selling it at £100-£149! steve

done a search and this seems most recent and relevant. sorry about the bump! so - seeing satnav are now more popular and most people have 1, which is the best to go for? mind you i know nothing about them! want something cheap (obviously) under £150 mark. - UK/EU mapping - Widescreen (not fussed) - Traffic news update (though how does it actually work??) - Probably garmin cos they seem to be best? Nuvi 250 seems good, anything else out there worth looking at? steve

Gandalf the Yellow replied to mixmaker's topic in Videos
if you haven't watched this vid yet then do it. truely awesome stuff, very new and creative. definitely one of the best riding i've seen, editing was ok, quite like the whole leaf thing going on! don't think there should be a negative comment on this at all, unless you can justify it fully..... steve -
disappointed, there's no footage of arm breaking in there. good riding, but what a f**king idiot. he's going to regret not letting that arm recover. steve

when is this happening then? unfortunately im busy with 3rd year stuff like dissertation so it might be a no, all depends on the date, last year was fun though! steve -
that doesn't make any sense. sintered is metal-based compound so its designed to not shred in the wet and grit from off road riders, performance is reduced but durability is increased. organic is the softer compound for better performance especially in the dry. and if you ask me which to go for on a trials bike then definitely organic. when do you ever see mud and grit on your rotor?? steve

gay orgy and we had chicken. steve -
if i was a millionaire i certainly would buy 1 too, but i'd never use it cos i can spank my money on a veyron. ohhhh and i can't wait for the release of audi R8 TDI im sure the sales of that will be higher than any electric powered 'sports/super car' to be honest, if i was a millionaire i simply wouldn't care about the environment. its an insignificant number of population in the world. steve

you know what...i seem to recall this..maybe on old topgear and clarkson actually tried drinking the water that was produced from the exhaust pipe? anyway, fair enough it might have been introduced before, but did it take off from then and actually put into production? - clearly not. think the reason why they covered the new FCX its because it is a full on production car that people are actually buying and driving in the US. it is reality that ordinary people own in their every-day life not just a lab experiment. steve p.s. electric powered 'sports' car are pointless because if you can afford that sort of money you can just get ordinary sports car and whack petrol in, more fun, costs less probably in the long run and handles better. it's just a case of showing off, it's not practical and doesn't fill any demands of the market, and this is a good reason why tesla will stay a small company and never really grow.
-
totally agree, when i first saw the news of the FCX in the summer i was astonished, finally a motor company actually doing something that will change the world of motoring for decades! it's very clever, sustainable form of energy (if capturing hydrogen is low energy consuming somehow). the tesla i thought was clever in 1 way, but its just pointless, loads of power, great but too expensive and might as well just get a petrol, it doesn't solve any of the problems we're having today. really hope the new technology can be introduced in the UK or all around the world as soon as possible. i'd definitely get rid of whatever i'll be driving at the time for it. and the overall episode is OKAY, i thought the last 10 mins was the best, proper road test seeing into our future. steve p.s. not sure about electric motor noises, kind of cool but just weird, maybe they should record petrol noises and hook it up with speed of motor and a loudspeaker .
