+1 pinnacles are a bit under rated, these do ride nice and excellent spec for the money! plus the frames are made by iron horse so nothing bad about that at all... get that bike and get yourself a pair of specialized comp mtb shoes. perfect! £1060 total. steve

Cheap Places To Buy Hoodies, Trousers Belts?
Gandalf the Yellow replied to mat hudson's topic in Chit Chat
primark and tesco jeans you can get for like £8... tk maxx is a good shout if you after some sort of labels... otherwise i the last place i remember seeing baggy jeans cheap is the market steve -
good luck with that front wheel if you're planning to do any gap to fronts! if it hits a point too hard spokes will pop out and your wheel is dead because it's straight pull... nice deal though, you can sell on one of those boosters. not a lot of people ride them levelboss anymore! steve

too tight. the adjuster on the back (where available should be just firm so don't pinch it hard together to get few extra clicks. and straps need to be loose enough so you can fit 3-4 fingers between your head and strap. if you still get headaches then extra padding where its hurting... last resort: the helmet just isn't right for you and time to invest in another. not all helmets fit everyone nicely! steve

Gandalf the Yellow replied to joey vajda's topic in Videos
it was really good, but i wouldn't say it was the most amazing video, it definately wouldn't make it on the show on World's Most Amazing Videos. Steve -

are there no such thing as a 'true' wireless broadband available with decent speeds then? does sound like 3g is a bit slow, how slow im not sure but to be honest its about 10kbps at the moment... reminds me of the 56k age. steve
-
i've seen that, not sure how it all works though, anyone care explaining? do i need the phone to connect to the internet by the pc? steve
-
these are either cable or adsl providers... i was wondering if anyone knows any ISP that doesn't use either of those to connect to the internet. steve

there may be a few threads around on broadband, but the problem i have at home is we used to get 512kb (slow as) and never have been able to get an upgrade cos the distance from exchange is too far or something. and since last year the download speed have dropped significantly (as slow as 56k speeds) whereas uploads remain the same and hasn't gotten any better for a good while now (not even due to busy times of day etc)..pretty sure there's nothing wrong with home set up and router as we haven't touched them at all and the speed just suddenly decided to drop. doesn't matter how many times i ring up BT to complain the problem is still there, so i was looking into alternative ways to get broadband for the house, i know people will automatically say 'virgin media' with cable but my area unfortunately doesn't support it... so what can i do to get an half decent speed without using adsl or cable connections? i'm used to faster broadband at uni but i can live with 512kb... i just need it for when i finish uni for the summer. steve

you can't bodge in a bikeshop. that's outrageous... anyway flared headtubes we normally advice they will need a new frame, however as suggested before, steel kings with deeper cups may work, or a lower quality headset (ie FSA pigs) aren't made with as good precision as king's so i managed to solve the same problem with my old frame. bodging will be shit cos the whole point of a good working headset is the cups are to be fitted flush to a FACED headtube so the bearings isn't loaded in a awkward angle. steve

just got in, got in a fight cos some douchebags start on our mate cos he was looking and i qoute 'emo' and launched him one i still don't understand why there are people that looks for fights on nights out, and thats exactly what they're doing.... the thing is there was 7 of us and 4 of them, to be fair (not being stereotypical) but 1 was black and looking stacked, but couldn't swing for the love of god and the others pretty much just keep walking back after i walked towards them... seriously pussies. highlight was we were out with our welsh mates and they just won't taking shit! it was sooo funny... also i got a guy in a headlock and pretty much everyone swung a good few pounds to his face..deserved it in my books.. now my throat and jaw hurts cos this guy punched in my throat..kind of hurting my adam's apple.. steve
