i wouldnt bother ever repairing a tube with a snake bite in, its just to much hasstle, you have said you have wrapped another tube around your actual inner tube, right? which way round did you put it on?? as you want the second (cut) tube to be on the inside of the wheel (closest to the rim) so when you pinch your tire, theres an extra tube there to protect your inflated one, maybe you put your second tube in the wrong way round (out tube on the tire side) ?? if not then try a different tire, or get a thick tube, or even better do both, and put more pressure in then come back and tell us what happened

this is what i was dissapointed about, sorry to be a basher, but i hate it when tv shows that seem like they might come up with other ideas outside of religon, then go and do that but then again there are sooo many ref's to christianity in lost, so i thought it seemed quite predictable. at least its over . . .

The Foamoi Refresher replied to Simpson's topic in Chit Chat

Been Riding Mod For A While, Now Interested In 24"...
The Foamoi Refresher replied to Jake.'s topic in Trials Chat
ive never owned a mod, but ridden them a fair bit in the past few years, and i have now got one on the way, but ive ridden 24's since the ET24 first came out, after switching from stock i love riding 24, i dont do huge riding, but i always have fun on the bike, and to my riding style its perfect. really fun just messing about with tech moves and spiny type stuff, without too much hassle actually riding just trials on the thing. i think it really depends on what riding style you want to ride on it, as they do tend to be alot more street orientated, (although i ride plenty of natural on my 24 and get on with it fine) do you want to ride bmxy style street on go for a more trialsy approach. as this will make the choice of whether going for a inspired/marino/leeson type bike, or maybe something more like the rockman tractor or the because trials, as they seem to be more trialsy to ride. i think thats the most important thing to think about, is what you want to do with it? maybe it will help you decide if you actually think it would be worth getting. go on a ride with a few guys on 24's, ride their bikes, watch some 24 vids. if you see what you like, then go for it. they are awesome and very fun hope this helps in some way -

What Vee Pads, Not Metal Backings!
The Foamoi Refresher replied to The Foamoi Refresher's topic in Trials Chat
just got the inspired pads in the post, and very impressed!!! only run in the dry so far, and with a clean smooth rim. they hold well, have a good amount of grab, not too loud and they didnt break the bank. anyone who's looking to get some of these pads i would highly recomend them top notch -
i just got some in the post myself today and i cant fault them either, they seem a little better on the front also, but the cables are much shorter so less friction and all that. but well happy with them, i would def recomend them

yes man, its awesome, been out for three rides in two days already, got some new tyres, lighter ones as im not a very heavy rider, got some avid ultimates too, as ive always been a massive V brake guy, some new pads and prob looking for something a little longer on the stem side, although it bunny hops and manuals like a dream already, so i may still stick the this bar/stem combo . . . you damn well do man!!! what you got at the minute??
-
ah right, was it kinda gunmetal grey with orange stickers on it? was a lurvly bike, but i just couldnt get on with it very well, and i got that just after selling my ET24 i think what pissed me off what that it killed my hand pretty bad, and just a little fed up with too many injuries so again took time out . . . thankfully i havent had to do anything to the rear maggie yet, as the pervious owner left it on, with the rear wheel intact while it was in transit, but i think the rear mag is coming off anyway, as ive always been more of a V type of guy, and thankfully its got V mounts on the top of the seatstays too, so that should be nice and easy to setup

What Vee Pads, Not Metal Backings!
The Foamoi Refresher replied to The Foamoi Refresher's topic in Trials Chat
a few months ago on my last bike (inspired) maybe 8 months ago i sold the bike??? i had coust pads, in the heatsink backings, running on an avid ultimate. i then glued and reglued them in, then i hanged to some other pads someone gave me, not sure what they were, but yellow, they seemed to remind me of the old CRM pads, or were they CRV's?? anyway, im pretty sure they were some kind of plazmatic pads, from spain i think?? but they always seemed real squishy and then thats when one side would start popping out, i may give them a go, but for now i think i'll give the inspired pads a go, as they are much cheaper, and not as thick as metal backing pads but thanks for the suggestion -
new bike, after a long wait, with a few new bits on the way already, went out for a ride this afternoon, and its awesome, bring on the 24 tour EDIT. a couple of new bits arrived today, so i thought id take the chance and go for a bit of a brakeless ride while i was changing over the brakes, it was pretty fun, but damn sketchy as ive never ridden brakeless before. maybe in a couple of months i may do it for more than an afternoon. but for now, ultimate rear and SD7 front V;s with inspired pads are f**king awesome. new tyres also and the thing is so much lighter first pi of when i got it monday, second = brakeless, third is now.

What Vee Pads, Not Metal Backings!
The Foamoi Refresher replied to The Foamoi Refresher's topic in Trials Chat
i havent actually met the guy yet, but yeh i will be, as sam and adam (local riders) have been riding with him, this bike has just arrived today, and ive been bikeless for a good few months now . . i think i will just give the inspired one a go, they seem to remind me of old spanish fly pads, which were also good -
just got a trialsbike again, and getting rid of the rear maggie to go back to my trusted setup of dual Vee's anyway, last time i had Vee's i had nothing but trouble with metal backing V pads, as every other ride, doing backwards manuals and the like, the pads would start ripping themselves out of the backings, making things a right PITA so whats out, ive seen the ones on tarty''s, the inspired and the Viz pads, anyone tried these out?? any good?? running a smooth rim here too people, and not really looking to grind, i prob wont be riding when its raining either, so for dry condition's only!!
