  1. Some people ride with the brakes one way, some the other way. A few in people do it left=rear while most don't. To have the right as rear is "international bicycle standard", but in trials it's up to each by themselves. If you're used to riding a motorbike you might want the front brake on the right, even if the rest of the riders around you do the other way around. Like in UK, everyone have the right as front, even on non-trials bikes, so there wouldn't be much point for a beginner trials rider to change... In some countries its about 50/50 among the riders who use their brakes which way. Of all the german riders i've met about half had the brakes like i do. Some asians have them one way, some the other. Not sure about America... I did meet a bmx'er outside sheff who had the rear lever on the right side though... I get his point in one way, lots of stuff in UK seems to be backwards/old fashioned Can't be bothered to write examples though
  2. The last pic is Chai on Matt's bike though Nice pics andy
  3. crazy some huge ups, bunnyhops and stuff up to front, as well as other fun stuff
  4. It's time for me to go to England again I just need to decide where to ride... I'll be staying faaaar north, in Penrith to be all accurate. Staying at Jordie Cookes place. If someone wants to come there and ride you're all welcome. I /we have however planned take a train down to Leeds or somewhere around there to ride... Problem is i can't deicide where to ride. Maybe Manchester,Lancaster or Blackpool could be cool, since thats closer on the train. It will most likely be Leeds though, seeing as there seems to be quite a few riders in the area there, and really mint stuff to ride. Sounds like a plan? Who would be out for a ride? See you around. Peter
  5. Hungary is a country! It doesn't say "hungry" She's got better control of her bike than loads of the people on here. She doesn't do huge moves, but better than some people on here who complain when they can't ride better themselves... Video was a bit boring in some places, and I hated the first song, but overall it's not that bad. Editing was simple, music was allright (except the first song which was shit), some longer sequences. Could have been made a bit shorter.
  6. When you tap the bearing off the axle you've got to make sure you hit it only on the inner steel ring or you'll ruin the bearing (it will go apart). Use something narrow to punch it with, preferably made out of a fairly soft metal like brass. Just to tell people if they wish to use the bearings again. I'm no bearing-pro, but from the experience of changing the driver bearings in Profile and similar jobs I've learnt some things. Someone who know exactly what sort of bearing used in a Hope might want to correct me?
  7. allright, was well good riding for your size. keep it up. helmet though... cant say i like the song, music like that has been over-used already. but overall, cool riding from you
  8. I can't say I've seen you do worse now, haven't seen much of your riding except a few vids.... but oh my god, you did some sweet stuff when we practiced at the worlds '04, on the megamo. the gap in france by the showers was illegaly huge.
  9. Cool. seems smooth too, silent brakes or just louder music? I was expecting older stuff though
  10. Hope you're really good at welding alu and have the right equipment... otherwise the frame will be useless =/ Anyway, why not try to get a good V-brake on it instead? I'd try that if i had v-mounts, since it works extremely well on stocks. Only problem I can see is that the tyre is too wide and tall.
  11. allright, theres proper loads of Snow outside now really happy that you've set the deadline that late
  12. Im pretty sure the Pr is not to be used with a rear disk-brake. The 05 221's craked at the disk-mount, and the dropouts/brake-mounts look exactly the same on the older 221ti and the newer Pr
  13. They still don't get away from the problem that you might hit the cranks on the magura slaves, which some people do?
  14. I think yo should have someone else to hold the camera for you, would make it loads easier. It's fine if I enter? Just to check, you might want it to be an UK-only comp.
  15. The contact e-mail address on the SMB Bearings website is now sales@smbbearings.com
  16. The gearing makes it work out like that. 18:12 is the same ratio as 3:2, which means that every crank rotation will move the front cog 1 full rotation, but the rear will move 1.5 rotations ( i think...) Get me? I could explain it way more detailed, but I hope that helped for now
  17. A booster would certainly keep them from spinning, wouldn't it?
  18. There are grips very similar to SOYOs, but a tiny bit thicker with even rougher surface. Called Evertop. I think they are meant for road bikes, not sure where to get them from except to order them from Japan. Last ages, if you ride with gloves you dont mess your hands up too bad. Still, like Dave said, its like holding onto a knife if you ride for a long time.
  19. Possibly by merseytrial? Beau was cool last time I met him, tried lines he really shouldn't be able to do was loads of fun last year in Brum. Video was cool though. I'd recomend you to practive smaller and more controlled stuff aswell Beau

I thought there was only one rider 2 or three of the first 2:30 of the vid was cool but the rest was repatiative. Some smart moves. The end bit was better but still shit editing with the blinking fragments of clips. Some nice riding. The mod looks stupid. The stock looks less stupid, but still...
  21. How are they bigger? Longer, wider? I dont have the Heatsink backings, mine are far older. They can be used with any rubber, from a standard pad. I think its the same with Heatsinks?? I just press it in with some glue and leave it unde rpressure for a while, not caring about the holes and the cut out bit in the middle of pads that have been in powerpad or similar plastic backings. Works well.
  22. Seen it a few times, its awesome. Its cool how he keeps it going all the time, with new and variated stuff. those small things at around 7 mins are mint
  23. that truck is bloody massive in your sig. and to encourage anyone to run over bunnys on trials-forum is not very clever... sorry 'bout not adding anything to the bmx brakepad topic.
