I've just had a look at these frames on bikedock and apparently it is an integrated (as opposed to internal, which i wouldn't mind) headset, which is a big no no in my book. Can any of the tartybikes crew confirm this? It'd be a shame if it is... Ben

hehe, i wonder when anyone will notice that the music in steve-a's vid was actually home made by me :D" 'bout now then i guess! :- boon's vid was cool, but he cheated because: A) that's not really a curb :( he's too good, and would be degraded by competing with us anyway :- ben (Y)

I'm definitely coming now. <_< Ben Dickinson

Any decent welder will re-heat treat it for you, as it will be LOTS weaker once welded if they don't :D But once it's been heat treated again it'll be fine. Drop out of school to buy a bike? HAHAHAHA! Ben

Whenever I've ridden a bike with try-all bars (I've never owned any, but I do know what I'm on about) they've felt very flexy, not confidence inspiring at all. But that may just be relative to my bars which I swear someone borrowed off a tank... Ben >_<

My Maverick F1. It plays like sex :D and the neck pickup is gorgeous Also my sucky sucky no tone MG30 DFX, but I'm buying a Peavey Bandit 112 Transtube 100W combo off a mate so that should hopefully improve the situation :D Mark, that Jackson made me cream... Loving the six string bass also! How much does that beast weigh?! Ben :P

That's great of you to post all those links, cheers man! :) Downloading now... The few of them I've seen are all awesome. Ben (Y)

Silent brakes do make you seem smoother SebJT is living proof! (He's smooth anyway, but the silent bike makes it silky (Y) ) For more proof of this just look at Kleivard and that Felix guy Bigman (i think...) posted a vid link off OTN for. (Just found the thread) Here. Silent is better, but you should go for a brake that works first as a priority. Ben >_<

Washing it should fix it, just be very careful to rinse everything with warm/hot water to get rid of any soap, that's probably your problem. Also make sure you get all the dust off, any left on there will just contaminate the rest of your brake setup again. Hope that helps :S Ben (Y)

sorry mate, but i just did not understand a word >_<

Hi oak! i wanna have a hop around on your bt (sexy bike!) anyway so i'll guess i'll see you there ;) This sounds likes it's gonna be a cool firendly ride :) Does anyone know if the university security take bank holidays off? they're well annoying in that little mini van of theirs :S Ben (Y) EDIT: Just remembered, it'd be cool if seb came down. he has smoooooooth (say it quietly >_< )

The new stock design looks cool, but have the brake mount threads as part of the frame would seem like a nasty way to kill a frame if you stripped one (Y) Just to check everyone does get that whole point of that chainstay where it is means you don't have to run the chain round it and can therefore have a LOT more freedom with geometry of stays and bb area? It seems that some people have failed to grasp this major upside in my opinion. Ben (Y)

that is a great photo! (Y) Good stuff man, keep them coming (Y) Ben :-

you are joking right? think about it like this... the sun radiates that energy in all directions. think of the earth as a point on the sphere surrounding the sun at the distant the earth is from the sun (you follow me?). This area is ridiculously small compared to the rest of the sphere right? Now we get that miniscule percentage of the energy minus whatever clouds and the atmosphere take away for only half the day and you're saying this is going to be bigger than 1%? think more like 0.00000000000000000000000000000001% mate ben (Y) EDIT: beaten to it. fair play for bothering to do the maths at this time of night! (Y)

To Dave or Ad: That description of the headset has confused me a little, is it internal (ie has cup inserts for the bearings to sit in) or integrated (the bearings sitting directly in the frame)? Looks niceeeee, especially in white, and it's great that it comes with the headset and bottom bracket! +30BB and 1045 wheelbase? sounds lush to me, that'd be pretty much what i've been looking for! :) ben (Y)

believe my bro when he says he can do that, he's had enough time on rides practicing because his bike breaks so much! :P he can actually do it though, i wish i could :P that gap was done on level ground in our back garden between a couple of pallets Ben :P

You must have a very short memory then! :P how many t-raptors snapped? probably the easier way to answer that is how many din't snap, and all in the same place. (drive side chainstay for the record) My brother's t-pro snapped around the chain on a hole caused by the chain rubbing. Now there's definitely something wrong there! Basically the old onza's fell apart in your hands, but the t-rex/woodstock are great frames and they look to be improving in the mod side of things as well. What i'm saying is you can't expect people's opinion to change straight away, loads of people have started on a t-raptor that lasted 4 or 5 months if that. Ben
