Shouldn't affect the reach at all should it? Or am I being dense...
-
Pwned! I didn't mean to sound agro, but you know... chill out a bit. If you get this stressed every time someone doesn't know what they're on about you'll drive yourself to an early grave.

Teeth are absolute c**ts when they break (believe me, hockey player talking here!), and I guess if you really want to f**k the guy up they're a good target. But that sort of shit lasts for life, tread carefully...
-
You don't have to go generalising against everyone because you're feeling defensive. In this thread there have been people I agree with, people I don't (namely the guy who my bro called an emo-slayer or something), and people I just plain didn't understand. I'm sure you're in a similar position! Doesn't sound good to just put yourself on a pedestal as the only guy who knows anything. Surely emos (and by this I'm referring to people who listen to emo music) could have learnt to accept that not everyone knows exactly what is and isn't 'real emo'? To be honest most people who get onto this subject come across as snobbish and a bit childish.

if the chrome's gone down to the copper underneath (i'm assuming that's what you mean by flaky) then the chrome's dead as a braking surface, you'll get some more life out of it by grinding it (as done by steve-a) and it won't affect the strength too badly if you only grind it once or twice

orange zero cheap?! pah! i see your point though

Do you feel teased then?

Really? Check the geometry out... a Pitbull this is not, even if it's built from some of the same catalogue parts.

personal favourite move was the 360 step up gap thing over that red wall, to me that seems like something you'd only try in a game did it so nicely too...

From past experience steel steerers on alloy legs aren't as strong as they sound, because you have to bond them together, you can't weld steel to alu. Hence all the Brisa and Koxx Forxx in the enitre world snapping.
-
I used to have koxx forxx before they came unglued (d'oh! ) which have the mounts put on so they're +30mm anyway and I ran a 190mm disc, which was great. However, on my new Urbans the mounts are in the normal position so i had to go back down to a 160mm rotor, which doesn't hold. Sooo... basically a +30mm would let me run my old rotor again
-
Does anyone know where I can find a technical drawing and stuff of an IS disc mount? I need to have a crack at drawing a +30mm adapter...

just go to a shop and buy some, any decent DIY sorta place will have it, and apparently wilkinson's do too.

couldn't hurt to rebleed it, maggies can have air sucking all the power without feeling squashy.

What do you mean? You want to write a harmony for a melody? If so it's not that hard to get, you play the same pattern, but moved in the scale. Like say we're in A minor (no sharps or flats to worry about).... Harmonised in 2nds (Will sound dissonant and a bit wrong) Melody: A B C D C D B A Harmony: B C D E D E C B Harmonised in 3rds (Sounds like iron maiden, or most emo guitar harmony) Melody: A B C D C D B A Harmony: C D E F E F D C That's pretty much it, using different intervals between the melody and the harmony makes different sounds. 4ths sounds evil/egyptian 5ths sounds 'full' 6ths are just backwards 3rds, so it'll sound 'iron maiden' again, you get quite a nice effect by changing from 3rds to 6ths. 7ths are backwards 2nds Hope that helps EDIT: I realise that assumes you know some theory already, if you want a bit of a fuller explanation just ask

I've said it before, I'll say it again. You have photoshopping skillz, and I love you a little bit :$

Heh, I'm bored so I'm gonna try and reply to as many questions as I can. First, whoever it was asking about putting metal strings on a spanish guitar, DON'T! They have no truss rod to counteract the force that non-nylon strings will exert and the tension would literally pull the neck out of the body, search google for some images for proof. Second, don't fit your Bigsy thing! They're ugly IMO and totally useless as tremolos, no stability at all. You're guitar looks fine as it is, why subject it to unnecessary tuning problems? Third, if you've got a mic on your computer that you can get somewhere near your guitar you'll love AP Tuner. Sexy little beast of a tuner that's pretty much all I use to tune my guitar now. No, idea about the May signature guitar I'm afraid, I would hae got one but the scale was too short for my big fat hands! They sound LUSH through the little Vox Brian May Deacy amps, shame that. Hope I helped someone somehow in there... Ben

Good work trooper sexy axe you have there

nice one mate, good skills. nile sound soooo bad though... never mind eh?
-
most of nile's guitar playing is just tremolo picked mush... but if you really want to learn it, get the rhythm down in your head first then just practice until it comes out without thinking. also, are you sure it's 32nds? that's pretty ridiculous to be playing triplets with at that speed... as dan says, it'll be a blur. EDIT: just a thought... are you serious about learning the drumming?! i've just remember what a nutter nile's drummer is. fair f**king play if you crack it...

Hmm, seems like acoustic guitars are kind of borderline size then. If it's a little acoustic, you may get away with it. If it's a big dreadnaught thing I guess you won't, and I really wouldn't trust it baggage handlers in a soft case!
-
Always dodgy carrying a guitar around anywhere crowded in a soft case. You'll just have to be careful I guess. My friends from Ireland flew over with their guitars in the overhead luggage, but theirs were electric (i.e. smaller). I wouldn't trust baggage handlers with it in a soft case for anything!

hmm hardly great are they?
