Im glad there only 2 riders in workington! Mate has one! seen to be good! not loud enough though! I had a few lil ride on his, engagement seen solid. Never skipped anyway! dont know how old his is. My tensile fells a bit shite at the min, skipped when put lil pressure, Cleaning it when I can get it off!!! I'd still vote for tensile, cheaper

I'm going to get my stock back up and running and put a vee brake on the back. I have the adaptors. I need the brake arms, and pads. I just want to know whats the best options when it come to these. I can "borrow" a rear of a matey at work. Its an Avid SD5. I'll use this untill i can get a better one, or will this be okay? Also pads - The rim will be either unground, or I will put a LIGHT grind on it. Which pads? Plazmatics V-flys, rock pads, Heatsinks?? Anyother pads worth giving a shot with a grind?? Thanks!

I ran my old echo with out a booster on and you can realy feel the difference. I now have an Adamant 2007, with the built in booster, and it needs more! The brakes didnt feel right. Put a booster on and it was fine. Just a pain to set the brakes up!

They wont be that cheap to make. when you think what goes into it. Materials it a LOT thicker than "normal" cog. This stop it digging in to the free hub body. The man "hours" gone into finding the right material, and making them the way they look, you can't really change the design of the teeth, but you no what I mean. Surly are cheaper anyway!!!!

I havent read all the topic, But I dnt see what all this fuss is about! and YES I have bleed with water, It was more hastle than its worth. The seals went withing about 3-4 months, and the cylinders went lazy. I say use maggie blood, thats what its trhere for. Well thats my opinion!

But is 25 grams really going to make you world champ? I agree with making comp bikes light, But why not buy a light weight frame to start with? drilling the frame is unnessery. The hole in head tube LOOKS cool, but really your only saving about 10 grams MAX. There are other ways to make a bike lighter. Wheels/hubs Freewheels Forks Brakes Tires and tubes the frame itself. Anyway its your frame your going to drill hole in!
