Ive been riding about 5 years, and would love to get into comps, but my confidence on and off the bike arent the best! lol I'll be going to the lee quarry round, may take my bike but not enter. I wouldnt know which route too take myself. Hats off to you for giving it a go.

Helicoil are good, but you may have to use a bigger size bolt, so youll have to alter the brake clamps etc, with the time cert you wont, if you dont need your frame for a week, ship it my way and ill timecert it for you. have a set at work, that goes up to mega size, so should have m5 in there

Fancy getting out of cumbria this weekend, anyone fancy blackpool, or anyplace they like, as long as its pretty much north. But blackpool, Shiply glen, Brimham Rock, natty is better (IMO) just more fun to ride. anyone up for it, give es a PM or reply! Cheers

^^^ Listen to him! I ran pretty much that set up when I had a vee, but I ran Heatsink Coust pads and they are really good. Reds are worth a go too. Of the brake side of things its worth getting SD7 over 5 as the limit stop screw are allen keys on the 7 and the 5 are philips and are a bit cheese like!! The clarke cables will stretch loads, using one at the min and its not the bes. After ogre's advice Ill be getting a few off CRC in the morning.

I got mine from aldi or Lidal for about £15 and its pretty decent, all of my bar one have been filmed with that tripod. Goes pretty heigh, and theres a hook under it all, so you can weigh it down with your bad for stability. No need to spend loads like....

Yeah decent cables make a brake, have clark jobbies from halfords, its forever needing adjusting. had odyssey cables are they are really good....

I have one on the front, and its pretty decent. Juts need some reasurance that there good on the rear. what size is best off on the rear? dont want it getting in the way. but want hold. Prefer the feel of a cable to be honest....

I could do with sorting something out. Just its a bit of a long drive for me.

get some proper biking shorts fella. you'll be supprised how much comfortable it will be, I know you'll look a bit daft, but can pop some baggys over it

get some trainer socks, and a cable tie for that brake hose, you'll do your self an injury. ...........Nice vid though.

Iv had heatsink coust before, and all I can say is they are awesome, Best pad by far? that was with a vee though and vee is better IMO (when set up correct) I just cant have a vee on a mod. and get it working well.....

I'll get the day off work. make a weekend of it, I have family in scunthorpe so can stay there saturday. If its a jam sorta thing. Could do a section in each route from beginner to expert. and see where we fit in. mini comps like biggest gap, etc just as a bit of fun. travellinbg down from west cumbria and back in one day is a bit much.. doable though

I got a few bolts by probolts, (the colourd ones on tarty)and they didnt last 5 mins, they were very soft. Steel is a better, but if the bolt head is shallow you'll run into problems.

Had an awesome day. could only stay for the Saturday. But I found it hard to walk today, after 8 month off the bike. nice to see a lot of riders from round the country. I left with a lovely gash on my leg too all fun though Thanks a lot chaps!
