All you've got to do when you move onto vertical walls after practicing on slopes is to be fully committed. If you ride up to the wall at a shallow angle and not much speed you're obviously not going to be able to grip onto the wall. 45 degrees is a good base to start with and as much speed as you're comfortable with ( bearning in mind it does have to be pretty fast ) just start by hopping straight up the wall as if you're going to ride up it ( because you're hitting the wall at 45 degrees horizontal this means riding up the wall at 45 too ) this wont be a wallride because you'll ride up the wall for half a foot then fall off... do this to get the feel of a vertical wall then try the same thing but lean the bike almost flat if possible and turn your wheel into the wall slightly.... thats how i learnt em just keep practicing and dont get scared of getting hurt because they do sometimes. oli

Ha Ha totally agreed I ran a pair of try alls for about 3 months. I have to agree that there are much much better rear tyres out there but I still use the front one to this day.. i think it looks smart, I've dont plenty of front wheel gaps in the wet and it always grips and never pinched it once. I wouldnt mind trying a maxxis on the back although I'm really happy with my comp 24.. never ridden a better tyre. oli yeh so in conclusion take everyones advice and go for a maxxis rear but id say jut try a try-all on the front.

nah my figures were wrong it shouldve been more like 300 ish ( lecturer corrected me ) yeh that sounds conclusive... ill show people when ( if i ever ) ride next and see waht they say

I'm sure its been brought up before but I couldnt find it in the archives. Is there an apporximate limit to the tensio you should run a chain.... its a KMC Kool running single speed being pushed down by a modified mech. I worked the force out at roughly 850N pushing down on the chain ( haha would say how but ive lost my notebook ) so yeh the chain has an easy bit of give if you push it with yur finger but no play if you were to drop the bike on the floor ?? any advice? oli

hello, polly on oli's username again, I have tried hopster and it has no effect unfortunatly. I also tried the other program but had no idea what to do on it.. Oli thinks there is a program called something like port manager plus, you are able to find the unblocked ports and swap them around.. thanks guys

I'm at uni on a network that doesnt allow kazaa etc, I need to find a way of re-routing/unblocking my ports with a program and am having trouble finding one! Anyone got any ideas would be much appreciated Polly (using cant_ride's accountx)
