ho ho ho yeh i saw that but i just had to share it with the world in the hope that someone finds it.. melts it down and puts it to good use for recycled beer cans. oli

hmm ... maybe we should neglect its existence altogether and hope for a better future cortina by the way i know its old but I've just come across it and thought it should be brought to everyones attention.

im afraid it comes down to discipline in the end. Since I've been at uni ( hardest place to get anything done ) I've found that if you make a short list of everything you want to do the next day just before you go to bed then do EVERYTHING on the list when you wake up it's so much easier. This only really works if you get up early though... and thats where the discipline comes in... I get up at 9 every day now and do this, it gets easier. By the way when i say "when you wake up" i mean literally as soon as .... just jump out of bed and do it ... dont have food/shower/get dressed until its all done ( unless it envolves leaving the house when you should probably do all 3 to avoid collapsing/smelling/getting arrested respectively ) try it... it works. oli

Onza parts do have the reputation from the old times when they were down there with the crapness plus in my opinion the older onza parts looked absolutely shocking... and I think they still do. maybe its just that everything else looks better? I'd buy onza parts now if they looked good. Another thing, i was riding back in the day before Onza was taken ove and turned into the trials company it is today... Onza used to make some really good quality little components. ah well oli

ho ho i did AVCE engineering before this too. thats not really the stuff I need... I've already got all that stuff in my head... as I said its the stuff about centripetal forces and acceleration. thanks anyways. oli

cheers Ad.. inspiration to invest in a mechanical science book methinks. oli
-
great! but i didnt want the answer.... i needed the equations of circular motion if there are any .... such as centripetal accn. centripetal force that kinda thing ??? that question might have been a bad example.. i already had that answer but picked it randomly from a sheet ..hmm oli
-
do you mean just use the circumference as distance and then use the normal equations of motion? What about things like centripetal acceleration etc. ? would it be Vsq/r ? only thing i can think of
-
does anyone know all the basic equations for circular motion as i kinda missed the lecture. ie what would i need to work out questions such as the following ( dont need to know how to work it out just what formula i need ) "determine the optimum spindle speed of a lathe when a cylindrical piece of metal of diameter 10.7cm is being machined. The optimum cutting speed of the metal is 75m per minute" cheers oli

2 things that stand out to me .... 720 outta wallride type thing and the tailwhip out of the grind up the rail near the end. christ! oli awesome vid

James i really wouldnt bother matey... i tried it on an old bike just as a concept. for the hub fixing idea.. stay well away from that as that area is sketchy enough already without attaching other things to it... as for using pannier mounts... my frame became bent instead of the mech hanger. Best idea so far is making a steel one... they normally bend just as easily for me but with the added bonus that they can bend and be reshaped like 20 times before snappaging... also easy to do in the field if u know the axle trick... which i assume you do oli

haha or about a week (Y) oli

How Good WERE you ... not where... some people can get good very quickly while others dont... it doesnt matter either way ... it depends who you ride with, how serious you are among many other things. for 2 years i rode trials without even knowing what it was ... id never seen the martins or any mags or videos... i progressed very slowly as a result but i had a bunch of fun doing it. anyway in answer to your question after a year i could bunnyhop up a curb and do 180's haha 7 years ago that was amazing stuff in these parts. oli
