    Slouching

Anyway yeh I was just sitting here on my poo halls room chair and noticed that when I sit in front of my computer working and stuff, I'm leant right over. Do you think that this kind of dagnammit slouching could be damaging? My girl always tells me to stand up straight and after all my years of slouching it almost hurts to do so. If not painful its just a really big effort. If you slouch as your bones are growing can you end up arched for life? hmm oli
  3. abs'lootly bwillyant!! nice one oli
  4. yeh chais got a good tech there... thats how i learnt it first of all. When I had my LB 1065 ( hooking machine ) I could do about 5'5" with a big bunny hop and a fast run in... but now on my 1045 i cant do it for crap?? oddness .. it really is about confidence.. I think most people know how to do it and probably could but the thought of going even faster into a high, solid vertical wall isnt too appealing. oli
  5. I think 18's going a bit too far but many companies manufacture MTB spiders for 3pc cranks. I ran a really lame cold forged one from some company that went underground years ago, on a pair of chieftans for 3 years and it was fine... this was with the old old middleburn bashguard. oli

you want to learn to spell apprenticeship first buddy. haha only joking. I went for an apprenticeship at FLS aerospace but turned it down because I wanted to go to university. If they say you've got a mechanics test dont worry .. I'll only be like basic equations of force and motion. I was crapping myself but got 98% Good luck! oli

  9. Well global warming ismaily caused by the o-zone hole and not by all the trapped carbon dioxide .... the switch between these 2 cause being the most effective happened about 3 or 4 years ago. CFC's that eat the atmosphere away dont start degrading til at least 300 years old which means we have bigger problems than providing electricity. As for the nuclear power thing ... I'm totally for it... radioactive or not.. on the wholes its incredibly safe and very efficient... but that hydrogen fusion plant sounds ruddy interesting. Ah and one more point.. whoever talked about why doesnt the government spend money on wind farms etc... one. because they dont actually have that much easlily spared money and two. look on google for the off shore wind farm project currently in the pipeline.. very interesting. 10. absolutely gorgeous riding! oli
  11. I've had countless problems with the AA... I hate them so very very much. My cover was for the AA courtesy car if mine couldnt be fixed by the road... turned out that the EMS completely fused itself so it wasnt driveable til i could get to a rover garage. They said I'd obviously driven the car faster than it was capable of going and couldnt help me... I gave them a similar reply to you as I had been driving no faster than 80 that day. I had to blag a tow from the AA man and even then it was only to the nearest town... which was 120 effing miles from home. tits oli
  12. Labour!!! especially after seeing michael howard on tv late last night talking about his immigration policy .. what a total c**t oli

  15. Hey ho jonny ... any chance of a shack ... endojiggy is a thing of the past for me... never lets me download or open a new account ?? Site's looking really pro by the way. oli
  16. thank christ im not like that .... i know i have a disgusting habit and I am addicted but not to that extent. If someone told me to go somewhere else because they didnt like it, I would.. I like to think im considerate but I guess with the views that some people share I cant be 100%. I'm totally for a ban on smoking in public areas... I think it should be banned in and out of pubs/bars etc AND walking down the road. I belive this ban should be vigourously enforced too. No 2 ways about it.. if you were caught smoking where you shouldnt be you should be fined on the spot. oh as for the guy who mentioned about lighting the spliff up causing a conflict... it would because its illegal! as a society we shouldnt have to accept that there are going to be people smoking everywhere as it is a health issue for non-smokers.. i say keep everything the way it is ie. prices of cigarettes, current healthcare procedures etc ... just ban it in public areas !!! oli
  17. apart from the probable ins and outs ( and the unfortunate fact that it'll never happen ) thats a really good idea. oli
  18. The guy that did it on whatever freeride vid it was on practiced on a rigid bike into a foam pit off a 7 foot platform ( considering the foam started at about 4ft ) and after about 20 tries was hitting the foam ( approx 3 ft down ) with 2 wheels. someone get out there and do it. I was considering this years ago but i was just scared about how hard your forks would hit the floor after being jerked round 360 degrees. Would really kill yur wrists. oli
  19. Sorry to say I'm a smoker ( not hardcore though ) I think 'we' should recieve every priviliege that non-smokers recieve from the NHS but nothing more whatsoever. Yes, we pay a lot more tax from buying cigarettes but thats our choice... It shouldnt give us any extra rights ( as nice as it would be ) Any extra money spent by he NHS/government should be spent on the anti-smoking advertising curently in use, although they should re-consider their tactics. And if 'we' get any privilege at all, it should be help quitting and not priority treatment when we get sick. Oli (Y)
  20. ooooo complete with 2 neon spokes... brill haha sorry ... that looks dam nice ... im not a big fan of mods but that's too shiny not to love. oli
  21. What made you join Trials-Forum? Reccomendation from other users Are you, or have you been a member of another Internet forum? Which one? What made you join? Never How often do you use Internet forums? Once a day Do you use forums specifically for getting answers to questions and discussing relevant topics, or do you use them to chat to friends as well (chit chat)? Really just as time filler.... gets boring here between lectures. Ah and for trying to help other less experienced people Have you found yourself sat in front of an Internet forum for more than an hour, sifting through posts just to keep yourself entertained? Many a time Have you ever had an Internet forum as a homepage? Just this one Have you ever had anal sex? No but I once felt like I gave birth out of that hole ... the stretching/tearing probably made possible ( or not ) future anal sex a lot easier As a member of an Internet forum, do you feel like you belong to some sort of community? In a way ... being voted on as senior member. Albeit by one person! And I still dont know why Define the word community in your own words A strong bond between people you are not necessarily acquianted with but know each other through mutual interests/opinions Do you feel you are a part of a community? (not trials forum) Once again, thanks for your help. Being on campus in halls, yes very much.. although a backstabbing one ( kind of defeats the purpose of a community but its all harmless ) oli ←
  22. haha i hate 20" full stop... whether they have 19 or 20... feel weird or not... just cant stand em' oli
  23. I'm sure you're a very clever lad but I know it feels weird because ive ridden one extensively .... theres something about it having the larger rim that's different ... dont care how much anyone says it "shouldnt" .... because it does ive been riding a LONG time on a lot of different bikes and i notice these things
  24. anyone remember Ian Cooper back in the raleigh trials days ? I sold a load of those DB mods when i worked in the bike shop... Had a little hop around ... surprisingly they dont ride that bad. Their design is very dated but for a beginner theyre awesome. Only problem is the pointlessness of a bash plate and a bash guard plus the fact that it has both wheels 20" rather than the normal 20 and 19" makes it feel odd. oli
