Rite, Yesterday reinstalled windows, installed vista theme pack and object dock. Installed 16 windows updates which took the best of an hour or more. Still no external hardrive, mouse is now not working, had to reinstall msn and the vista theme has gone. My start bar looks like windows 98'! What the bloody hell is going on! Everythings just changed. No usb ports working etc

Right im back on, it wasnt a XP pro disk, it was service pack 2. Anyway a mate brought round his XP disk, reinstalled XP which took ages!! Some errors along the way but it seems to all be fine, now also with vista pack. The one major problem is that it cant find my external hardrive, it dosent show on my computer but the lights blinking on it. Also when I plug it in, it says hardrive not in USB hi-speed hub. Well it's worked fine for AGES and it's usb 2.0 so it IS a high speed port How can I sort this?? Thanks alot for everyone help so far Rob

LOL 1. I (well not me personally) only have one hole/CD drive 2. So instead of going to repair...I should just go to install windows off the pro disk? 3. Yes MBR Mates bringing his XP disk round in a bit

ok.... Bootfix didnt work CHKDSK C: didnt work FIXMBR did something, came up with a caution message saying did I want to write new MSR or somein, some files may become inacesable etc etc, so i didnt do that Or should I? Ummm, my comp didnt actually come with a XP disk so I using a XP pro disk of my dads Whys it suddenly done this? Peice of beep beep beep PLEASE HELPPPPPPPPPP

Hey, This morning I was on my laptop, all working fine and then I decided to install the vista theme. So I had to uninstall my old one. Afterwards I had to restart, and when it went to boot back up, in the top left of a black screen it says, "checking boot rom" or somein like that, then it normally goes to windows loading and then desktop. This time it says "checking boot rom" then says "no bootable drive" Windows loading screen, blank screen...then shuts down Just keeps repeating this process so I just manually turn it off. I've tried going into options by pressing F2 etc but still nothing. Anyone know what I can do to even get my laptop to turn on properly and get to the desktop!!!??? Thanks ALOT Rob

A tripod is ideal then it's as simple as 1 2 3, ideally you need a pic of the plain background so you can choose if you want the riders which way round if they are overlapping, if not then work off the rider with the pic of the rider doing the first thing, then cut the second and third out and tweak them so they all line up, backgrounds etc. Sorry that probably made no sence what so ever.

Nice one pork chops Some seriously good ones (one of burrows sidehop) god I love that pic, and not so good ones, like the one of shrews with tyre tap, can tell it's been seriously adjusted, and porters one on pole, look at the sky.... Bulb ones smart too Like the fisheye one of you and the ride one of boon lol Some are quite blown out too, like the bristol gap ones. Nice one though, alot of good ones. PC any day, just because it's what im used to I suppose. Macs just dont feel.....real? Feels like a toy or a fake version of a real computer. I use them at college and yes there smart etc, compact but my laptop does everything I need anyway and takes up less room. I'll say, the only thing I prefur a mac for is for editing in photoshop! Thats what there at college for, because there design computers which is ok but they crash etc all the time. Top spec PC or laptop anyday!

Ok I was playing unreal t 2001? version, went online etc all fine, joined servers....payed fine. Today I got unreal t 2003, muchos better but when I click on play online from the menu theres all the news, LAN servers etc windows but I cant see a list of servers!? Any help? Cheers Rob

Hey guys, Sorry I know this has been on here a few times, tried doing a search and not really much came up that helped. basically I want to know how I could set up some sort of online game like counter strike or unreal. I know alot of people play it on here etc. I read that I need half life to play CS!? I have a *bought* version of half life 2 and unreal as well which i love. Half life not so much but unreal is amazing!!!!!! Can you set up unreal to be played online? If so how, i've tried websites and you have to be super nerd to understand So can someone explain in english what I need to do. O and btw im using a laptop which is not ideal, but unreal plays fine on it!! Any help, muchos appreciated
