Sorry to steale the thread but i'm having ipod troubles too!! My ipod 20gb photo's click wheel has decided to stop working? It does everything else fine, plays music, connects to pc, etc etc but just wont let me scroll using the wheel at all!!!! Now, I bought it from amazon for £180, can't remember how long ago but it must be over a year I reckon. So what should I do? I need to send it to apple but I can't find an email address ANYWHERE! I agree with Simon (for once) Un-crashable? At college the ones I was using used to crash ALL the time! Espically one of those widescreen jobbies, brand new and it couldn't keep up with me, so it used to crash when I was in the middle of editing my coursework, very frustrating. The macs are much nicer for editing, espically photoshop and they do generally look/work great, thats the only reason I'd ever really think about buying one. For editing.......simply that. No biggy that the voice thingy majiggy dosen't really work is it? It's like frames, if one breaks everyone slates the hell outta it.

Riding in the winter sucks donkey nob big style. Have to dress right up and even when you do warm up it's still pretty cold, brakes freezing up and all sorts. I hate that can't feel your fingers feeling! Riding in the summer is so much better, in the day it's a bit silly but just riding in shorts is awsome. Top up the tan as well haha. Then in the evenings just shorts and T is ideal. Last night riding at 10 was just perfect, not cold or hot. I said to a mate, we take this for graunted so much, becuase it feels neutral we don't think about it as where when it's freezing all you can think about is the cold. Staying out till late riding in shorts etc is well good! Love it so much.... Summer ***

The whole idea of what? Creating tunnel vision like photos? The effect is very cool, I love the fisheye effect but I atleast want to be able to see the subject!! You can only set different amounts of pixels, meaning the highest on your camera is 5mp. This dosen't really mean anything? Still cropped you'll be looking at halfing the initial size. How does the camera adjust for fisheye etc? What does it do? Well yeh, you can zoom in as little or as much as you like, depending on how much you want to eliminate the black edges but by doing so you loose both quality and the fisheye effect. Meaning you'll actually ever end up with photos with half of it taken up by black space. surely you don't think that actually looks good? It's like the subject is miles away, you won't be able to see as much detail etc as if it were a full image, obviously, surely thats a bad thing?

Pete- If I was you anyone I wouldn't bother. As you can see from that example you have posted there is extremly large black edges making it look like your seeing the photo through the end of a tunnel. The final image ends up very small, espically if cropped which you will then end up with a very small res image. You can eliminate the black edges by zooming in but then you loose both quality and the fisheye effect. The actual image is very low quality as well, mega distortion. There a fat waste of money, don't bother.

The guys at Blackleaf.com where I bought some new shoes from, they sent the wrong ones so I sent an email, they sent the new ones out straight away which arrived today with postage money to send the others back

The 18-55mm lens is the pretty basic one that comes with the 350D as standard? It's like the D70s kit lens is the 18-70. Same principle. Another thing to look out for with lenses is it's maximum aperture, for instance....when you see f/3.5-5.6 thats the widest aperture it will go to. F3.5 when at it's widest setting (18mm) and F5.6 when zoomed in. In reverse you will notice that at it's widest setting (18mm) it will stop down to F22, when zoomed in to 55mm it may go as far as F29. Ok so why does that matter? Well lenses that will stop down to F1.4 or such normally cost more as they are so wide. Meaning at night you can get away with handheld shots as much more light is entering the camera, also meaning much less depth of field as apposed to F3.5 So just something to look out for on future lenses but that 18-55mm would be a good start. Saying that though I know when porkchops (fatmike) bought his 350D he upgraded to a USM lens for extra!? On the D50 I found that silver was cheaper in some shops, maybe because everyone wanted black and they dropped the price to shift them? dunno. All lenses will be able to zoom (unless it's a fixed prime lens) and have a manual focus ring
