I've alwaysssss worn gloves!! Couldn't ride without them before, but then I lost my gloves in town, tried to buy some more off the net for cheap (fox ones for £13 off stiff) but all the ones i wanted had sold out so forgot about it. Haven't bothered since and it's been fine so far with foam grips.

Compared to the rest of the crap on tv....I beg to differ. Pretty good tonight, not the best but still any episode is good in my books, I even like watching the repeats. Loving that new TT, not sure about the RX-8, just something about it that dosen't catch my eye. Veyron is unreal.

I know on a normal digital camera you can just buy a slave cell for about £10-15 but with DSLRS they are different. As a normal (non slr) digital camera just fires the flash at the same time as the shutter the slaves work, they detect the flash from somewhere else and then trigger the flashgun that they are attatched too (off camera) DSLR's fire pre flash so it would pick up that and fire at the wrong time as the shutter. ie, out of sync. (I think anyway) I know with the Nikon system if you have the right camera and a nikon or sigma flashgun you can just press a few buttons and have it running wireless without any extras. I think the Canon system is slightly different though as you have to buy an extra? I think thats what Chris Ratcliffe told me anyway. Ask Fat Mike

Ok guys bit of a bump but check check one two: SomE1s Neickd uRz Sea8ts Mateszz Works pretty mint so far, only tried it with the standard avid pads on which are naff, but it does feel really nice! My Joy rubber came today (thanks Ali) so i'll be trying that over the next few days and report back!

Dave your such a tard lol You make so many of these threads when you can just post in the random photo thread! For wideangle, definatley the Sigma 10-20 For cheap fisheye go for pelang, for a better one like Chris said, the Siggy 15mm!! or if you can really afford it the Nikon 10.5 but there expencive. Macro wise either the Tamron 90mm f2.8 or the Sigma 105mm f2.8, i've used the 105 a lot and it's really nice, remember those fly shots I posted and you said "how the hell do you get so close?" well they were taken with that lens.

If you like the feel of the Canon then consider the Olympus E400. Not many people even consider the olympus system but trust me, it's fantastic. The E400 in paticular is the smallest and lightest DSLR on the market at present, and comes with a twin lens kit (14-42 + 40-150) The only main differences (as far as I know) between the 350D and the 400D are that the 400 has 2 more MP, 11 AF points and a 'self cleaning sensor' which dosen't really work from what I've heard. Part of the 'cleaning' process is using software, which I guess is like cloning out the dust, which you can do in photoshop anyway. If it's dust your worried about then go for the olympus, the sensor vibrates when you turn it on and really does work. They were the first ones to develope the system and it really is good, for example a mate has an older olympus DSLR and shoots loads of banger racing, changing lenses where theres loads of dust, and in 3 years hasn't had a dust problem at all. If you wanna know more google "myfourthirds" I prefur Nikon myself and would go for something like a D70 or D80. The D40 is pretty small and only takes certain lenses, either a D50 or upwards id say but like Dan said, go into shops and try them to see which you prefur. Stating that you want an SLR with a good zoom is kinda not right, as the lens isnt obviously fixed so you can pretty much add as much zoom as you want. Either Canon or Nikon are very good and you won't be disapointed with either, it's down to personal preference.

No idea what so ever. I haven't actually got a mrs but theres one on the possible horizon so could do with some ideas. For my last GF I got her concert tickets, differnt and went down a treat! Could go for the usual present and meal idea, hardly original but the easy way out I guess.

Had one lesson a week, 16 lessons in total and passed first time with 3 minors. Like Andy though I think being on the road on a bike definaltey helped a load! Was on a bike for two years before my driving started so that definatley helped. Got 3 yrs no claims on bike and in feb i'll have one on the car

little update on my situation: Well, the first 'proper' meet up went really well. I picked her up and as soon as she got in the car I thought "wow!" she looked stunning, seriously. So off we went to the cinema and that, started off sitting on our own sides you know, then things relaxed and she started cuddling up etc, holdin hands blah blah, all good!! Nice kiss when I dropped her off as well, double bonus. I know a page back or so I wasnt really considering it, but now i've 'hung' out with her and we've talked a fair bit i've decided just to see how it goes, all my friends have told me to do the same thing. It's only the ones that don't really understand the situation who say something like "ahh what, shes 15, I wouldn't go there,pedo" whatever you know the usual comments. Like mates have said, if everything else is perfectly good, ie attitude, personlality, looks, etc then you shouldn't throw it all away just for something so minor as age. Would you agree? Theres a good connection too, she comes to see me at work, communicate loads and always got ideas for stuff to do. Like on tuesday were going to Exeter shopping for the day (her idea) so thats cool. Ok first of all, i'd like to thank everyone whos posted about this, it's just made things easier putting them into context. Some proper sound advice going down as well, thats why I posted in the first place as I knew I wouldn't just be laughed at. Thanks a lot! That is so right, I agree with that myself 100% but it's until you meet someone who dosen't seem that young, then you find out later on. If she said first off, im 15, i would of scrapped it straight off but it's just my luck it's not the case. If she was 17, i'd be absolutly on top of the world right now, everything is going smooth as butter so far. (that dosen't mean i'm going for it though) haha again another VERY true statment, I said to myself, no way am I ever being that guy when I was at school, I used to think it was probably just for the 'cool' factor of having an older boyfriend but until your in that situation do you realise how it's actually quite different. Well whats happening is, i'm meeting up with her tomorrow night, going to the cinema (how original) and as a matter a fact were going to see an 18, so first test to see if she gets in haha. *wake up call* this is really bad lol. As nice as she might be, I think I may end up telling her that I can't do it, I know what everyone has posted makes perfect sence and I couldn't agree more with everyone. Then again she might be super nice and get on like a house on fire and I may end up not saying anything. O man I really don't know. I suppose i'll have a good idea after tomorrow about what to do. I've never had to post in here, hoping I never would have to but it seems like this is the one thread where people actually get serious and give out some good advice (from what i've read, excludes davetrials posts, love you) Ok... Most lunchtimes I go to this place to get me sarnies and what not, on a saturday theres 2 proper nice girls that work there. Always have a chat with em in there as a bit of a regular. One day when I was the only one in there and there both really cool. Can kinda tell theres a bit of chemistry there you know. On new years eve I was boogin away in this club and I saw the blonde one that works there, I was pretty drunk but still, I remembered her name so thats a bonus, huged and had a little kiss you know. I said can I have your no.? She said i'll give it to you on saturday (when shes working) So Saturday comes round, go in, shes working. All looking good, I was next to be served but then another lady came from out the back and served me So I didn't get to talk to her, forgot all about it. Then at about 5 o'clock I was at work upstairs and someone shouts up "rob theres someone here to see you" so I go down expecting it to be a mate and its her!! I was in shock haha. So she gave me her number and have been talking ever since. Shes quite tall, blonde, pretty and a body to kill for. Now this is all looking very good, and it's not too often that a girl comes to work to give me her number theres just one major problem (this is where I need help).....shes.............15 I couldn't believe my f*****g luck. All was looking so good until then, I was so shocked because she looks at least 17 if not more like 18, and im 19! Christ, what the hell do I do. Thats young man, real young. But she looks so damm nice, and is probably a lovely person, is age the be all and end all? It sucks cus when your younger it matters so much more but I bet most peoples parents have maybe 3-6 years between them and that dosen't matter at all. What a crapper Any Thoughts? Then theres this other bird, who i've met up with quite a few times and we get on REALLY well. It dosen't seem to be anything more than that though, she told me she was interested at first but that was after she split up with her bf, then after a kiss she went all funny but says it wasn't that. How can you suddenly change your mind? So left that for ages. and now it's all kicking back up again, meeting up etc and it's going well but I have no idea where I stand and what she wants. Thats the only lens I can that that I really want, I can afford one but I cant justify breaking into the savings!?

Ok thanks for all the replys. Joe- Your right, last night before I went riding I took all my magura off, cleaned it up, filed the pads blah blah blah and it worked really well all night, BUT it's only a matter of time before it fecks up again. In all fairness the same magura has lasted me a good 2/3 years so I think it's time for a change. I do like change So I've ordered the xtr lever and avid ultimate arms from a local bikeshop who are price matching, now gonna order the adaptors and metal backings. They also have in stock the oddasey liner slick cable I've seen on alansbmx.com in red (tart) and it feels super stiff! I'll let you all know how it goes and post pics when it's up
