  1. Whack some chain tensioners on the inside of the dropouts, that should reduce the space a little bit. On my Echo, I had loads of space, and a tryall hub, and the droupouts spaced it enough to fit perfectly.
  2. I heard on radio 2 that there i some sort of injection you can get from the doctor that clears hayfever completely for three months... anyone tried it?
  3. Tiredness is a key factor here... my stepdad was doing a training excercise in the woods when he was in the paras... he had been awake for three days and had been running about for all of them, and he was walking through the woods during the night and saw a car go screaming past, him, he could see and hear it. it obviously didnt happen because it was a dense wood, it was all down to hallucination from sleep deprivation. you can die from lack of sleep before you doe from lack of food
  4. I saw a trailer for a new scary film, about some cavers, who crawl through really tight narrow spaces and get attacked by supernatural beings... I think the feeling of being attacked and not being able to get away is pretty scary, I used to dream I was being chased, but when I tried to run away, it felt like I was running through water, I just couldn't move quickly at all. That and the feeling just before being sick
  5. On the sexual equality note, my dad was telling me (he was in the Paras (<-- military people who parachute from planes to get to their destination)) that if at any point during the selection process (one week selection for selection, then four weeks selection, click here if your interested in the details) that if you mess up on a single thing during the selection, thats it, your out, no questions asked. BUT, if you are a female applying for it, you are allowed to skip the things that you find too difficult. Which means you're getting people one of the hardest trained forces in the world (second to the SAS according to FHM, all the American ones are pansies and don't endure anywhere near the pain) that are underskilled and undertrained, who really aren't up to the job! And then what happens is you get the blokes who endured it all to work for their sacred red beret, and on the passing out parade when they get them, their are these women getting them who don't deserve them. Like what!?!?!?
  6. I got my lady on my bike and she learned endos, and trackstanding, and was able to lift the front wheel off the ground and was about to learn how t back hop, but I've just bought a new frame and so she's angry at it now and won't go near it anymore Weirdo
  7. Just slightly off topic... fast food restaurants... why do they all have mixed enthnicity in their staff, and then KFC? Completely staffed asians wherever you go! In Bluewater shopping centre there is a row of restaurants, about ten of them, and all the employees are the colours of the rainbow in each of them, and then you get to the KFC part, and surprise, surprise, all asians that talk as much english as someone from japan. Surely that could count as rascism? Can anyone back up this theory? Do your KFC's all get manned by asians?
  8. A small talking lizard called Bert
  9. I don't think any of this really matters, none of us are right and none of us are wrong; there are rascists in all races and there are normal people just trying to live normal lives. The problem lies with everyone trying to label everything. As soon as someone says: "Thats rascist", you've just bought race into it and made things awkward. All these "ism's" are just more divides between people that really don't help at all. If everyone just stopped judging each other, I think we'd all be a lot better off. But it aint gonna happen. The whole human race is crap and we are all just as nasty to each other as the next man, so please stop with this "Ooh look at him, hes got an opinion that could be considered right wing..." because it will only lead to the abolishment in freedom of speech just like in Japan, and I don't think we want that. In fact thinking about it, we don't have freeom of speech any more, you can be jailed for "ism" comments. See, look what you've all done (<-- not a judgement :- )
  10. So you think that someone who is amazing at drawing and someone who is crap at drawing are equal when it comes to drawing? I dont think so. I don't actually think everyone is equal, because we are all different. Instead it should be phrased in a way that says we should treat people how we would want to be treated by them, but we should accept that some people are better than others at certain things, i.e white people are crap at most athletic sport compared to black people, and white people blatently have bigger knobs than black people.
  11. The street I live on is one half private homes, and the other half bedsits, packed with Asians. They keep themselves to themselves, but what gets me is the fact that they all have expensive clothing and fancy cars, like beemers and mercs, and civic typr r's. They are all mid twenties, I havent seen any old people around. Also, I sometimes go home at lunch because i live 2 minutes walk from home, and the only people you see walking around that area are these mid 20's asian guys. Either sitting on walls doing arse all, or speeding up and down the road doing wheelspins and skids, which they do all night too. The other thing I see them do (spying out of my third story flat window) is go around in twos or threes approaching barely teenage girls. Its manky. They go up to them and surround them, and try touching them and putting their arms round them and stuff. The girls often have scream and shout at them to go away. It seems that this particular street is letting down the side for the asians.
  12. Yeah, its silly about all these different people who sue schools and stuff because they wont let their kid wear a religious hat or something, and they demand it and stuff, but if you were to go to their origin country, you would be arresed for even practicing your own relegion in your own private time! Silly really
  13. Its silly really, you can't comment on what someone is like if you havent met them. Yeah, some immigrants do sponge off the government, but some have come over with good qualifications and are some of the best doctors on the country. Unfortunately, there are a few who let down the rest of the hard working immigrants who have come over for genuine reasons and are working hard, even if they are stuck in a dead end job. Some of them are rascist too, some Asian people are rascist, but again, some are not. I've met some realy nice Indian guys, and I've met some complete tossers. But then again I've met some really nice English guys and some complete tossers too. But for the few immigrants that do sponge off, sell drugs and rape women, they do make me angry. But oh well, at least were not all starving and living in mud huts
  14. I have to say, Simon is right, you say you accept constructive criticisim, and it was, yet you go nuts at him for it!? Jeez, sort it out... :'(
  15. In the middle of an exam: "Miss!!! Can I go to the toilet, I need to focus my mind..." :-
  16. Whats black and blue and red all over? A rape victim.
  17. Wow... See, if you go on blithering like an old bag like I did, all the secrets finally come out! Sounds like a good game plan to me... good job keeping it all so secret. How much can we be expected to pay for the tensile freewheel... and can we be expecting a mod 60 ep freehub too? That would be good cos I cant afford a profile...
  18. Which makes releasing an expensive frame for half the price a good thing  Goes to show they're in it for the trials not the money
  19. My example was trying to show that Porsche has a much wider and larger market giving them space to test and stuff, whereas onza cater for a very select market and cant afford to make a mistake. The research and testing costs a lot, and setting up all the equipment to make on off frames costs a hell of a lot too. You have to sell so many of the product just to get your initial investment back. Do you see where im coming from now?
  20. No, you dont get it. In the real world, a company that makes huge sums of money is a large company, and a company that doesnt make so much is a small company. Money is worth the same in both companies, so it doesnt matter if your a trials company or not, if you are a small company you are a small company. Meaning big decisions will cost a smaller company a lot more and will be a greater risk to them. For example: If both onza and porsche decided to make a watch with their brand logo on the fascia, they would have to consider the cost of research and production compared to what they take in. For Porsche, it would be a doddle, a dip into the petty cash. For onza, a lot more thought would go into it because the ratio of the money it would cost compared to what is made would be a lot lower, meaning that if something went wrong, it is more likely to cripple the company. So releasing the Slinger proto is a risk because of the ratio of the research compared to onzas intake of money. So selling a frame that is not a risk because it is a gaurunteed sale like the python copy would increase the ratio of money out to money in, making it safer for onza to do, and allowing more time for research into making the frame as good as it can be.
  21. No your right, they are huge company selling millions upon millions of units, with an annual turnover of a billion pounds. :) Trials companies are small business mate
  22. Goodness sake, if you don't understand now, you won't understand if it comes and whacks you over the head with a chair. TIME=MONEY PROTOTYPING A FRAME=TIME so PROTOTYPING A FRAME=MONEY If you have money coming in, you can afford to take more time in prototyping something without fear of going bust. Releasing a long frame will bring in a LOt more money. Releasing a frame with the such a dramatic difference to the norm DOES take guts, especially with a company as small as onza. When was the last some such a different idea was marketed? Zoo! made a jump similar but nowhere near as dramatic from the lynx to the pitbull. If it doesnt sell as well as itplanned, the company could go bust. So its a risk. And risks take guts. And also it wont attract a lawsuit, the factory making the frame is entitled to sell the frame to anyone they want to. And as for Wills comment, i dont own a company to get the trade prices.
  23. STILL not reading properly... especially Mark Onza, to be fair, dont have the kind of reputation they deserve. Two of their better frames are regarded to be copies, so no "reputation" is at stake. SO... releasing an off the shelf frame will cover the prototyping costs for their own design frame and give them someting to fall back onto if the design they eventually release is just too weird for Joe public... So saying that onza need to have guts to release the Ben Slinger proto is justified, its a big leap in frame design, and covering their backs by releasing a copy of the python would be ideal if it all goes wrong. How many people have bought a T Pro? Loads. And how many people have thought, "I'll have an onza, but i want a long mod" So how many Python copies would they sell? More than the T Pro i reckon. Which would be a lot more money to play with to give them the budget to actually release crazy designs like Ben Slingers mod. I keep saying the same thing over and over using different phrasing; but only one person has the idea of what im on about
  24. when you tighten the bolt up, how many mm of thread do you have left showing?
