  3. If I were you, I would really really really get a crap 1 litre banger and build up your no claims. The quicker you do that, the better driver you become, the less likely you are to drive fast because you can't and the insurance will drop like a turd from a giraffe if you don't claim! And if you do smash it up anyway, it will be so cheap you wont need to claim, keeping your no claims bonus. Be patient, it works out better in the long run. Failing that, get married and go on your wifes insurance for like £20
  4. Surprisingly enough, I have. Standard 9mm rounds do not provide much recoil, in fact the power of them is so little that at 50 metres away, the bullet wouldnt penetrate a normal leather jacket. I have fired a lot more powerful weapons than that using 5.56mm rounds, and even they don't give much recoil. What you are thinking about are large calibre weapons, such as a shotgun, or any of the old american high powered rifles using 7.76mm. If you'd read the thread you would have taken note that I have been awarded for marksmanship. And Mr. Monkey, if you hate people who put someone down because they think their skill is better because the other person cant do it, then why are you saying that the gun guys skill is better because you think none of us can do it? Surely thats hypocrisy?
  5. Care... for you Its nice I like it, but if nobody cared then surely I would argueing to myself, but I'm not am I? So... a bit pointless really
  6. Right, competition rifles are single shot, meaning you have to reload after every shot, and derf, your just prooving what I said? So its just the 6 shots in 2.99 seconds not the 6 shots, reload, 6 shots? I would be very happy to proove you wrong if you bought me a gun, if you're that interested, but I just don't see whats so hard to believe about being able to tap a trigger quicklly? You dont have any travel or resistance to fight against, just a touch sensitive surface. If you can tap on the floor 6 times in two/three seconds, you can fire that gun in the same speed. Give it try
  7. As does squeezing a trigger repeatedly quickley when you can just use a fully automatic weapon. So your saying the video is not being played in real time? And your still not getting the idea that the trigger will be set at a feather touch, so the slightest bit of pressure will set it off? Do you even know what a gun is?
  8. Like i said, you get me a handgun, i'll shoot it for you. im not getting a licence and buying a handgun just for you lot. When he does the 6 shots, reload and shots, count it, or time it, even if you take the count from when his first shot, its still way over 2.99 seconds. A gun of that size, properly held is no more difficult to fire than a time crisis gun, The true art in shooting a weapon is not the speed, its the accuracy. Americans like shooting fast; British like to actually aim the thing first. If you want impressive, watch someone shoot a handgun that isnt semi automatic quickly. Thats impressive. Not squeezing a trigger repeatedly.
  9. Im aware of what a real gun is like to fire, having been awarded a few times for marksmenship skills. Competition weapons and public use weapons are fitted with adjustable triggers, to allow travel, the point between squeezing the trigger and meeting resistance and the sensitivity of the trigger itself. A trigger can easily be set up, on most weapons, even my cheapy air rifle allows you to do it, so that you barely have to touch the trigger to set the gun off. Ive fired competition rifles that you literally stroke against the trigger to fire the thing. So resistance isnt an issue; and neither is the time taken to fully squeeze the trigger, because you wont have to move it much when set up to your preference. So it is just a case of wiggling your finger against the trigger. And finally, the army use a training method that ive used that is incredibly similar to time crisis for training, the only difference is the shape of the weapon, and the footage is real not computer graphics. So naa to the lot of you
  10. Another thing, have any of you actually counted out the 6 shots, reload, 6 shots, because it is more like four and a half seconds, not 2.99 EDIT: its also very easy to give up over the internet inside of argueing your case >_<
  11. Feel free to post me the relevant equipment, and I'll do it for you. I mean come on, if a fat, old, american can do it, it cant be rocket science can it? Now sniping, there is a challange...
  12. What you want me to record myself wiggling my finger really fast?
  13. Its not exactly difficult, you just get a case that holds them and drops them all in at the same time. A bet in a days practice we could do it quicker than him Anyone whos played time crisis will know what i mean :-
  14. A quicky in paint just to see if im on the right lines here:

  16. Based on the fact that jumping a long distance + on a bike + on its back wheel + from a thin rail + to a thin rail, is greater than wiggling your finger quickly. Derrrrrrrrr
  17. I think the entire world would find a rail gap more impressive than pulling a switch really fast.
  18. I think that will be the next stage once he's worked out which side of the switch to paint with which symbol... I think :(
  19. What you need is to get married :( My wife has informed me that when we are 23 (insurance wont insure us till then), we are going to buy a Vauxhall VX220. Oh, what I shame, I don't think... Seriously though desiels are more expensive than petrols because the engine is a lot more complex, but the newer ones are well worth it. Also they will last you twice as long, if not more. My dads friend deisel has just crossed the 500,000 mile mark! I still want a TVR though
  20. Exactly, comparing a hundred bhp deisel to a 200bhp petrol is silly, they are different either way. Deisel cars are now racing in Le Mans, Vauxhall produced a Deisel version on the VX220 with the same performance, but it did a hundred miles to the gallon. VW produce the Polo GT TDi 1.9, with 130bhp, sub 10 second 0-60 and 130mph top speed. and still gives back 55mpg. Also, you are comparing a car more tuned for racing to a car tuned to cruising. Most turbodeisel cars have low pressure turbos to allow quick change of speed at higher speeds, and comfortable high speed cruising. My super sexy 307 is a quick bugger, 0-60 in 10.9 even with a low pressure turbo, and the acceleration through all speeds is bloody good. The engine is very quiet, much quieter than petrol cars of a few years old, and inside you cant hear the engine at all. And Starlets look wank :(
  21. I don't plan to; Peugeot made it that way for a reason!
