I dont have a problem with the speed or performance, I just think that Evo looks like a little toy plastic car made by Corgi or something. Preference I suppose, nothing I can do about that. I would much prefer the TVR anyday. If the Evo went past one way and the Sagaris the other, which one would most people look at? I really do think it would be the Sagaris, because it just looks nuts. And like someone else said, why squeeze so much power out of the 2 litre engine, as it makes it very unreliable and potentially dangerous. You might as well safely squeeze the power out of a bigger engine. I mean TVR's are unreliable when it comes to electrics (they are getting better though!) but having an unreliable engine would just be crap. And also, if you were to drive that thing on a humid day, or in a dusty place, it wouldnt work. It would just choke itself. That would be crap too, wouldn't it? You can have so much more for your money!

Cos theyre bellends :turned: Yeah, it makes sense to advertise if your a company, or if a company is paying you to advertise, but it annoys me when you see these shopping lists of parts and companies that the car doesnt actually have all over it. I have to say though, squeezing all that power out of it is pretty impressive, I would just prefer a SLK AMG or something. And I dont like those horrible bulgy plastic bumpers, they remind of Transformers (Robots in Disguise) I would like to build a kit car though, a little track day motor or something

Yeah, I definately see what your on about. Is there actually any difference between a Hope and Chris King headset? I guess some people just have to much money, and they still have some left over.

I think the best way to do it is go second hand. Most of my stuff is second hand, and its still good looking cos ive tried to pick out stuff that i want, but still at a good price. I still cant ride to save my life though :turned:

TVR's are rated as good cars, check out any reviews on them and they always come out tops. And this "wanker" has brought new life to the company, helping it release its freshest cars yet, so i'd really like to now what your basing your opinions on.

Stickers and plastic too? But just think how much money was spent on that car, and what it could have been spent on!? I personnally, would love a TVR, unreliability and everything, because I prefer the driving side of cars. I can see where your coming from, and all I can think of is that this person prefers the maintenance side of cars, the satisfaction of making all those horses gallop out of such a small box.

So basically, the Evo, like the Impreza is sold to fulfill the 200 or something requirement needed to compete in WRC. Right. So why mod one instead of getting a car that can comfortably put out that power? Surely Ralliart have tuned the Evo to the most that they think is safe for the engine in a road legal car, and if you want any more, just to buy a bigger engined car? I really don't understand car modding on this scale, why would someone strap wings and a jet engine to a bicycle and look a fool when they can just buy a plane? I know some people do it for a hobby, but the plastic and stickers... really, no. Its just not right.

So surely it defeats the whole object of it? Why not just use a bigger engine? When topgear tried the Evo that was squeezing just 400bhp out of the 2 litres, they said there was so much turbo lag, and it needed servicing every 4000 miles so it just wasnt worth it. Squeezing all that power out of it must be so unreliable and make the engine very unstable. Im not boring, I'm just in a place where in a few years I will be looking around for a car similar (the wife is liking the vauxhall vx220) and i would prefer serious options rather than stupid looking heaps of multi coloured plastic like that... :blink: And if you want a gorgeous car, check out the Alfa Romeo Brera... or a an Aston Martin V8 Vantage... those are beautiful cars... Not a car that you described as looking like "a house brick"

The body parts are all part of the tuning? So how come the BMW M6 can do 208mph, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and still be a two ton saloon with no spoiler and no stupid vents and holes and silly mesh grills? :blink: And I presume the stickers are there for aerodynics too? What a ruined Evo

Damn right, the rich will get richer, and the poor will get poorer. It's good that people are trying to help. and hopefully it does make a difference, but we will just have to see. The problem is that Africa is only ever able to pay back the ever growing interest on the loan that they have, and so have never managed to even dent the original loan, and the amount just builds and builds, so cancelling the debt will be a start. Its got to be better than a kick in the face

Yeah, for those who have been hiding in caves and who still think its about money... Geldof doesnt want money, he wants all the people who went to the concerts to go to Edinburgh for the G8 meeting, which will decide upon Africes debts being cancelled, and peacefully protest and show them what the worlds opinion is, and hopefully sway the decision. I cant beleive the interview with Lenny Henry, when he said that he disapointed that they didnt get more black musicians... why bring race into it? It was the black musicians who wanted to be paid to do it, and the same with the first live aid concert, no black artist would do it unless the got paid. The truth was though, of all the musicians, including backing, most were black. So he can shut up. He was getting all grumpy about it on his friday show as well, saying that it was rascist that there are no black artists. He was, however, saying all this to his 99% black audience. Hypocrite.

I went without tickets, and there were so many people who went, that they put screens up anyway for everyone! It was incredible Pink Floyd are the best thing ever! (Y) I went with my mum and she started a rebellion on the Park Lane gates, and we got them open, it was so funny. My mums a nutter! The police said don't go because you won't see or hear anything, but on the ledges on Park Lane, you can see the screens, stage and hear the music. Then a policeman told us there was a screen a few minutes down the road, so we popped down their for the evening. There was a few thousand people there, and when Pink Floyd came on, everyone got rather, er, lively. And I thought I was the only one who loved them! Anywho, jolly good show! (Y)

But I woud swap my bike for Pink FLoyd tickets, I love tham so much. Its depressing to think that loads of little teenies have got tickets and will be thinking of the Floyd, "Who are these loser? I wish they'd hurry up..." Very depressing. (Y)

I would imagine that it will keep coming out till the tendon has time to heal, but if you keep doing stuff that makes it pop out, it wont heal properly, because you will keep stretching the tendon. In other words keep your mouth shut for a week or so

Thats the one thats sharing its chassis and body with peugeot and citroen, i think. Topgear said one of the three is best, because it comes with more extras than the others for a very good price. I think thier ok, but I've got to the 2 litre mark on my cars no, and I'm not going back down again!

I'm doing HNC (with no previous experience or qualification beyond technology and physics a levels), then a years top up course to HND, which is a Foundation Degree. All paid for by WSP, my lovely place of work
