  1. I'm running a hope pro 4 but my next choices are gonna be a spank hex hub and a i9 (if u remove the grease it seems to run nicely) I also think a big factor is not only "how the wheel is laced and how powerful the rider" (La Bourne), but how often do you ride and the style of the rider. I ride 5 time s a week so that's my only fear with the i9
  2. Thank you guys, I think I will keep running the kevlar hose. I was tempted to put this aviation hose on my hope tech 3 brakes because I come from pure trials and I love brakes with a really aggressive bite.
  3. Hello everyone, some people say that the hope aviation hose is worth it and some people say that it just add weight on your bike and that they can't tell the difference between this cable and the standard one with kevlar. Anyone had tried the difference? Thanks
  4. i try every single tyre on the market and i end with a continental der kaiser protection 2.4 and i remove 180g of treads, this tyre resist like a continental danny mac i think. it has strong sidewalls and with tubeless you have a bomb proof tyre. The only problem it made my bike way less street oriented because my front tyre it’s still a maxxis and the bike feel less well balanced. But after cut maxxis ikon tan wall and black wall, continental with shield wall and kenda tyres i don’t see another valid alternative.
  5. you on the sidewall i also try the inspired foam kit and tyres rip even more especially in the center, i will try cushcore at this point. thanks Ali
  6. Hi, i actually ride an inspired hex with tubeless and cushcore inserts and i’m trying all the tyres available on the market but i keep cut tyres after one or two months of use. I usually keep 40 psi or a little bit less. I loved my maxxis ikon tan wall but i just ruined them same for continental with shieldwall, now i’m using normal maxxis ikon without tan walls hope that this made differences. my last try will be with a continental der kaiser without ribs. Someone had the same problem? thanks
  7. i try only one of their mid range bike and i snap the handlebar in 6 months and broke the rear wheel in 5 months. I really like their alluminium handlebar but i don’t trust their basic line components anymore, maybe their top gamma components are way better. I don’t understand the necessity of have brakes cables inside the frame
  8. that’s Mad Max bike, really cool. i’m curious about the geometry
  9. i will try again next week to put the ikon 2.35, i ask to inspired and they told me that the hex 2019 and the last hex both have the same yoke so if someone run that setup maybe with a decent rim it’s possible.
  10. i’m actually using extention rims and there is space but i can’t constantly adjust the rim, i will definitely try on spank rims
  11. it pass really close and if the rim it’s not perfectly center the tyre rub on the frame. How you can keep your rim always perfectly straight? it’s impossible maybe with a better quality wheelset with spank rims?
  12. Hi i have an inspired hex 2019 version i think, the metal shiny black color. I’m actually running maxxis ikon 2.2 tan wall with inserts and i love this tyres. I also have a pair of maxxis ikon 2.35 for ride in more trial style but this tyre pass really close to the frame in my opinion. I saw some riders use this setup on the hex without problems like George Thomson or Yohan Triboulat on the last series hex model. Maybe this last hex model has a larger Yoke? thanks
  13. but with magura brakes i don’t have this problem, only with shimano it’s weird
  14. sand some mm from the adapter is dangerous?
