I think he made the carbon, as it says 'layed' the carbon. And i would of thought he would have just cut the carbon with a bandsaw or something, i doubt it was a cnc milling machine, if it was i wish my school had that when i was there.
Yep, way back then they were just holes, to click onto the piston. At that point i had no intension of making pads to sell, it was just a way of having a bit of fun making pads and trying to save some money.
No im affraid yours were different to Joe's. Joe's were the very very first ones, and i only had enough rubber to make a few sets of pads, then i got some more to send to you, which was slightly different, which is not what i wanted.

In testing, these pads have been working extremely well on a good ground rim. I personally have been running them on a smooth rim on the front of my bike, and have found them to work well on a smooth rim.
But for the best performance it has to be a good grind with the greens.
