I've had a full Deng lever on for around 3 or 4 weeks and I ain't going back to a normal Magura one, thats for sure! I just need to fit the cylinders on now which also look awesome quality. The quality and strength of the lever is SO much better than a Magura. I cracked one of the standard Magura levers quite quick, but the Deng one is loads more beefy in the right places. People who are complaining that £135 is to much for a fully cnc'd hydraulic brake with cnc'd clamps and pads that are for trials need a slap Like Ali C says, the quality is close to Hope and a Trials brake from them costs £140. I would recommend using Ti bolts instead of alloy on things like the disc caliper/rotor, stem and magura 4 bolts. These parts are under a lot of stress and you don't want them snapping Using alloy bolts on low stress parts like top cap bolt, lever clamp bolts and bleed bolts is cool though Stan.

I've just read the whole of this topic and I'm pretty sure I understand whats going on now. I will be attending the Uk Biketrial series, but I'm going to try and enter some of the "Biketrial" comps too. I'll be in the "guest" category? As I understand you can enter this category with single speed set up? For one, I think riding a comp at the Blackpool moon rocks would be great fun! I also think its great that theres more comps to enter, this can ONLY get more people into Trials and competitions. One question I have though... I'm also a little confused with that too? Do I need to send an ACU form to Essex Club to get them to sign it and then will they pass it onto the ACU? The closing date for round 1 at Hook Woods is 16th April, there is no way I can my ACU and NEW BIU by then? (Apparently I need a new BIU signed by Barry Deeks) I read on the Ebtc/UK-Biketrial newsletter that they are accepting ACU applications at the comp? Can someone please help? He is a machine lol. The taps are the biggest I've seen, and like Ali says some of the short run-ups in France were silly. The song in that video wasn't good haha.

BASHER! It made the section harder I think too. Other things I remember.. Joe B saying to me "Gizz a blast on that shoe" Iolos dog bowl that was full of crap and then a wolf or something ate it in the middle of the night. Was an awesome week! Got back a bit ago after also driving around 12 hours with no sleep after finishing the comp. Lots of riding was done, and a fair whack filmed too. It was VERY cold at times but mostly hot through the day. Comp was really good. Gilles Coustellier is a machine! He cleaned everything haha. Met lots of new people too, which was coool. Will add more when my eyes want to stay open. Stan.

Cool little video. Doesn't really show how good Bruno is though He made that tap first go, and had a few attempts at hooking the one to the left of it. He also got extremely close to that bunnyhop goin up the path Did anyone get Shipley footage?

Ive used pretty much every pad, and so far the best has to be Rock pads (ones intended for grinds). With a light sharp grind they work in all conditions. At the moment I'm using some of the new Rimjam V3 pads and they are ace in the dry on a grind, loads of bite! CRM's are also good, but not amazing in the wet. Stan.

Like Ali said its a lot harder to snap the hanger because the rohloff isn't hanging down as much mech, therefore has less leverage over the hanger. Stan.

I use the 30" Onza risers too, they are awesome bars and should suit your T-rex well. You can get them in alloy too at £30 which is cheap. I think the Monty risers are too narrow for a 26" unless you extend them. Stan.

Yeah expert level is similar I think, although remember its UCI! I'm sure you'll enjoy the Ymsa comps, they have an excellent atmosphere and the sections are always fun but challenging. Get yourself to one of the rounds and see for yourself Stan.
