  1. I think the same theory applies to gaps as it does to sidehopping. Technique is again very important, but I agree that if you develop the right kind of strength then it will help. Both are important but I would say technique more so.
  2. Yeah man, I've only been there once, so I hope I can find it. Do you know the road name the quarry's on? Also what time you arriving?
  3. I should be there. Spoke to Bessell as well and he said he'd be up for it!
  4. Yeah I agree Dave, It's a combination of both, but I would say technique is more important. Good technique alone will get you sidehopping very high and then when you get towards a limit "explosive strength training" would probably improve you that little bit more at the top end. Look at Gilles Coustellier for example, he is not bulky or over built at all, but he has so much technique that it doesn't matter. Also you could look at TRA and Benito Ross like Dave said, they are pretty well built and can sidehop houses.
  5. Wind is the worst I think especially when it's really bad. It just knackers you out really quick and makes it hard to ride. I don't mind rain too much. My favorite conditions are when its dry, still and not to hot You get these days every so often and they are perfect.
  6. Really good, fun video Jack Really chilled out and easy to watch. Nice flip by the way!
  7. Great little video Jack's riding is unique and great to watch. Front flip over the bars off that high wall is silly! My only quibble on that video, is the intro was a bit long for my liking, but otherwise, great stuff.
  8. Sweet pics Ben, I like the silhouette ones. I like the retro bike Chris
  9. Really enjoyed today's ride! Was good to see quite a big turn out for a natural ride Iolo is nuts and has special lets grip absolutely anything tires! Shame about Bigman injuring his finger Was a bit too windy in places, but it was still fun.
  10. Should be there about 11ish, parking to the right of the huts/burger van area.
  11. Looks cool mate Had a do on this on Sunday and it feels good, similar to mine, but with front maggie and little different front end. The front maggie actually feels good too!
  12. Yeah, that would be ace. It isn't that far for me to travel, so I will definitely come again
  13. Was a fairly good ride. Good to meet up with some old and new faces again! Shame my wrist wasn't quite right I reckon there has to more riding in Brum, surely? It's a massive place! Anyone else know if there is?

  17. Dave, was about to post my entry and Ali mentioned to me you won't run it without 25 riders which is understandable! I just didn't want to post my money and then it not be run... If it's being run then I will come, so I will keep an eye out for the update.
