  2. Awesome pics Joe! Was good to see you again mate
  3. Hello... Looking for some advice on which ring adapter to buy for a new Lens I have for my video camera. My video camera has a 30mm thread size and the lens thread size is 58mm. Rowan kindly supplied me with 2 ring adapters. One is 58-52mm and the other is 52-43mm. So what I am wondering is, which size adapter should I get? Should I go for a 58-30, or 43-30? I am not sure if its better to have the lens further away from the camera or not? The camera I have is a Sony DCR-SR52 and the lens is a Raynox MX-3000 Pro 0.3x semi fisheye (thanks Rowan!) Advice is appreciated! Cheers, Stan.
  4. I'm running a different stem all together, its still Trialtech but slightly longer and also more rise As for the TNN pads I am testing. So far they are very impressive indeed. The CNC backings are by far the best I have seen in terms of quality etc. The compound in them seems excellent too, very bitey and good hold.
  5. Cheers, should hopefully get a little video up soon, only rode it for a few hrs so far. Building your wheels in the morning, so should be there on wednesday
  6. Cheers. They are TNN CRM Prototypes. They are Pro-Bolt Alloy ones Come in various colours from TartyBikes.
  7. Hellooo, just got this built up on Friday and will be riding it until the Sky frames arrive. Only rode it for a few hours, but so far I absolutely love it. I still need to get used to the 17:14 gear ratio and slightly higher bottom bracket height, but initial impressions are excellent. I am also running a higher stem now too, which is better. The frame itself is SO stiff! This in turn makes it super responsive and rewarding to ride. Other good points include the super stiff brake booster area and the weight of the frame (1.68kg). The tubes aren't paper thin either, they seem quite thick. Anyway the whole bike built up weighs 8.92kg which I am happy with I also want to say thanks to K-124 UK, Trialtech and TartyBikes for sorting me out with the parts etc! Pics..
  8. Tires are Continental Quite impressed you missed that lol. Front tube is a lightweight Maxxis/Conti one I think.
  9. Hahaha, I did when my doctor told me I had picked up Scottish Bashing disease As for the bike Its a pimp, pimp bike! Feels surreal to ride as its SO light. Endo's feel weird haha.
  10. Sweet bike Ross. Them rocks looks awesome too. Wouldn't mind a play there one day.
  11. Nice video Sam! Big and smooth riding mate! Well done.
  12. I love your garden! Nice pics Ryan and the bike is pimp!
  13. Awesome stuff Joe. I love your style now. Reminds me of Mr Staples. Cool video mate
  14. Ahh ok. Did it actually have more chain wrapping around the rear sprocket though? Can you definitely not take another link out? Looks like it'd be close to going. I had the same problem myself at the weekend and I just fitted a mech and had the mech locked out and pushed up against the chainstay so I got maximum chain wrap. It solved it a treat.
  15. Did the rear mech you tried have 2 jockey wheels? It looks like you need some more chain wrapping around the rear sprocket from what I can tell. New chains generally need more wrap to get them to bed in.
  16. I think you need to bear in mind what these frames/bikes are designed for and aimed at. As for the bike it looks amazing. Great attention to detail, which is quite rare in trials I think.
  17. For me I think it's changed over the years along with trials. I know everyone says this, but at the start for the first year or so it was definitely the Martins. I bought all the MBUK's along with Tricks and Stunts etc and I would just go out and try what I had just watched or seen in a mag. Then the Trialskings came about and brought with it, in my opinion a new era to trials. The stuff they were doing at the time was crazy and it was the first group of riders to really make half decent internet videos. I think Nailsea trials also deserves a shout too, always loved their videos. Again I would just watch and learn and then go out and try it. For the last couple of years the top UCI riders have been a big influence. Closer to home and probably the person who has the most impact on my riding is Ali C. He is great to ride with and pushes you to improve all the time. On his day I really do think he is one of the best riders around.
  18. Nice pics and moves boys! I wish we had some sunshine!
  19. Nice snaps by Dr Jon! Was a good little ride actually. The indoor area is cool as you can move nearly everything about I think its around 9.3kg! Pretty damn light. Yeah we still have the barrel strapped down to an upside down pallet, you just can't see it in the pics. It works really well, can move it anywhere and it's sturdy.
  20. Great topic. The ride and excitement is growing by the day! Meeting Hans Rey would be cool! Is he going to ride? Going to be quite surreal seeing so many trials riders in one area.
  21. There is Lee Mill Quarry which has 4 purpose built trial sections, plus a whole quarry full of rocks. That's in Bacup near Rochdale.
  22. Really like both of them! The most amazing thing though.. the frames only weigh 1.2kg!!!
  23. For £195 I think that is really good! Couldn't they have found a rear mech with a longer arm though?
  24. I've had many a pair of the "real" CRM's and personally think they are a great compound. I've also tested various other so called Plaz pads such as the clear ones and the PMG ones, and they were shocking! Not a patch on the original CRM compound. Adam also showed me the "new" CRM compound and I managed to bite a chunk of the material out! On the TNN CRM's, I am looking forward to trying them. I had a set of them backings with some harder stuff in that wasn't great in UK conditions, but the backings seemed spot on. If the new ones have the original CRM compound in, then they should be great.
  25. Had some of these on myself and I'm liking them very much. My grind isn't amazing either. They are a safe bet, the wear-rate is good and the hold is good.
